Kid Pirates Are Annihilated, Know a Few Things About this Situation!

One Piece, Chapter 1079 dropped on 26th March and had shocking revelations. A few chapters ago, Shanks was interrupted by Eustass Kid and his crew. They started a fight against Shanks in Elbaf.

In the latest Chapter, we got to witness the great destruction that was caused by Shanks when he took down Kid and Killer with just one blow. They were absolutely wrecked and Kid Pirates couldn’t do anything but hand over the Road Poneglyphs.

Shortly after, Dorry and Broggy continued the assault and annihilated the Kid Pirates. The situation looks grim for Eustass and his crew considering the heavy damage. Let’s find out a few more things about this entire situation!

One Piece, Chapter 1079 focuses majorly on the battle between Kid and Shanks. The only weakness of Shanks is found to be his surprisingly weak crew. It is also revealed that the Red Hair Pirates only made it due to the protection from Shanks!

The Red Hair Pirates are Weak!

According to chapter 1079, the Grand Fleet of Red Hair Pirates isn’t all that impressive. In fact, they are pretty weak considering their status as crew members of a Yonko. One of the members goes as far as to claim that they wouldn’t have lasted in the New World without the protection of Shanks and his flag.

Kid and his pirates are also pretty shocked looking at the state of Red Hair pirates. Eustass Kid aims to take the pirates down with a powerful railgun technique called Damned Punk. If it wasn’t for Shanks’ Observation Haki, these pirates would have been completely destroyed by Kid’s attack!

This might be the only weakness of a great Yonko like Shanks!

Divine Departure, The Technique Shanks Used on Kid!

While we were discussing Kid’s improvement and whether he might stand a better chance than his first attempt, he was absolutely destroyed with just one blow by Shanks.

After seeing the possible destruction that can be caused by Kid’s attack, Shanks proceeds to unleash a powerful blast of Haki. This technique is called Divine Departure and it is the same technique that Roger used on Kozuki Oden when they fought in the Grand Line.

While Oden was strong enough to take on the attack, Kid wasn’t! He was destroyed and Killer got caught in the crossfire. While this may be an impressive technique, it is only one of the attacks from Shanks’ repertoire.

Will Kid Pirates recover from the huge blow?

After the events of One Piece Chapter 1079, the Kid Pirates and the future depends on the survival of Kid and Killer. It is more than likely that they will survive the situation just based on intuition.

It will be difficult for Kid Pirates to recover and get back into the race for One Piece since they had their copies of Road Poneglyph taken away from them. However, many fans believe in Kid and think that they might make a comeback and be stronger than ever, but only time will tell!
