Chapter 162, of Kengan Omega, titled “Pool E”, starts off with the first battle of the Pool E preliminaries. We get a rundown of all the contenders in the tournament where we get to see a lot of familiar faces mixed in with some “New Generation Fighters”.
We are also familiarized with the proceedings of the tournament brackets. We see Nogi Hideki scheming as always, instructing Kaede to keep Ohma away from the Berserker Bowl which is a grilling task for her since there are all too many familiar faces for him to not look that way.
The first battle is between “The Fist Eye” Koga and “The Next-Gen Hybrid Wrestler” Funayama Yoshiki, a C-List gladiator with a brutal wrestling style.

The battle has already begun and Funayama has already landed a powerful kick on Koga making him put his guard up in preparation for a gritty battle. Both the fighters seem to be equally good and it is far too soon to say who might come out on top.
Although, my money is on Koga since he has always shown exponential growth between battles being the “Fist Eye”. Koga might be pushed back in the beginning but knowing his tendency to not only surprise his opponents but also us we might see him reach an even higher level of finesse and power.

The chapter begins with a shot of the Berserker Bowl, a seemingly small but brutal arena where the fights take place.
Akiyama Kaede gives an overarching explanation of the eight different brackets and how each of them will be taking place in their own separate arenas.
She then hands a copy of the entrants’ data over to Ohma that holds all the information about each of the fighters from Pools A through H.
Ohma’s eyes perk up as he sees quite a few familiar faces. Some of them being his friends and the rest being purgatory gladiators and the New Generation Fighters.
Ohma asks about Ryuki and Yamashita’s whereabouts to which Kaede shows a concerned expression as she was instructed by Nogi to keep him away from taking part in the tournament.
Nobody but Nogi knows what he’s scheming as even his own secretary has not been filled in on the plan.
While the discussion about the fighters is ongoing, Ohma’s eyes turn towards Koga who is proudly entering the arena. “The Fist Eye” is pitted against “Th Next Gen Hybrid Wrestler” Funayama Yoshiki, a talented C-List gladiator with explosive attack power.
As the referee is explaining the rules of the match, the two fighters gauge each other. The two take their stances and as soon as the referee gives the go, Yoshiki lunges in and lands a quick hit on Koga. Seeing that the fighter is indeed as powerful as he had heard, Koga gears up for an interesting battle.

Kengan Omega manga is published by MangaONE & Ura Sunday (Shogakukan). So far, there is no official way to read the manga online except through Comikey, which releases chapters weekly but is only free for the first 24 hours and becomes paid after.
