Kaiju No.9 greets the Defense Force with a salute, laughing about the humor in video calling HQ. He sits atop a massive crane with a captured drone, praising the Defense Force for exceeding his expectations. They have proven to be much stronger than in Isao’s memories.

Regardless, he announces his victory in advance. The only condition he needs to end everything is to take hold of the “That Power.” He walks off towards a white No.14, leaving everybody in a panic.

The Kaiju No.14 lies on the battlefield with no readable vitals on the body. Suddenly, it begins glowing in the center with a massive energy output. The HQ reads teleportation signals emitting from the body even though it’s dead.

At the same time, Kaiju No. 9 walks towards the white No. 14, which opens up a similar portal inside. He walks through it and steps out on the battlefield right before Mina. Facing Captain Ashiro, he declares the beginning of the end.

Kaiju No. 8 or Monster #8 is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Naoya Matsumoto. It has been serialized for free on Shueisha’s Shōnen Jump+ from July 2020.
