Jujutsu Kaisen anime started off with a blast! The first episode opens with an unconscious Yuji waking up to Satoru Gojo, who tell him to die now or die after destroying all curses.
The following sequence of events introduces the viewers to the world of curses and how they coexist in this plane.

Megumi, a sorcerer, searching for the item in the box, warns Yuji about the consequences of getting involved with curses. However, Yuji nonchalantly eats it up like nothing, hence the death sentence.

2. Episode 2 Speculation
A small preview for Episode 2 was shown at the end of the first episode.
The video shows a fight between Sukuna and Gojo on the rooftop and introduces a new character, sewing plush dolls.
The next episode will show Satoru Gojo arriving on the scene, rescuing Megumi from Sakuna. They both realize that Yuji has the potential to destroy all curses, but it’s a double-edged sword.
Yuji is now presented with two choices: instant execution, or death after consuming all of Sakuna’s curses and destroying them.

I. Inhuman Strength
The episode starts with Yuji waking up in a room filled with locks and talismans to prevent curses. He is tied down and wounded and sees Satoru Gojo.
Gojo wonders which one in Yuji is awake now and says that Yuji was destined to die.
The rest of the episode shows the viewers what had happened to that point. Yuji is a part of the occult club and uses his gorilla strength to protect his seniors from harm.
His strength is above human levels, as confirmed by the competition between Yuji and the athletic team coach.
II. The Special Grade Relic
Meanwhile, Megumi, a sorcerer, is in search for a special grade curse, which is coincidentally what the occult club took back with them.
Megumi notices the curse’s aura on Yuji, and asks him about it. Yuji gives the relic, but it is empty as the insides were taken by his seniors.
Both run towards the school and see many monster curses roaming around and Yuji uses his strength to save the occult club.
But in the process, he swallows the relic, Sakuna’s finger, and becomes a curse. The episode ends in a cliff hanger as Megumi gets ready to fight Yuji, who just had Sakuna take over his body.
