In Chapter 251 of Jujutsu Kaisen, after getting hit by Cleave, Sukuna wondered how Yuta pulled it off. At some point before the fight Yuta ate the last finger of Sukuna. It’s unknown whether just eating that finger enabled him to use this technique or his own cursed technique, “Copy”, played a role in this. By giving it all they had, Yuta managed to cut off one of Sukuna’s arms.
With a cursed Energy punch, Yuji entered the junction of Sukuna and Megumi’s souls. His plan had no flaws but Megumi’s soul already lost his will to live. Before he can do anything else, hope is snatched away from the readers again as Sukuna uses the world-bisecting slash on Yuta and Yuji. The chapter concluded as Maki came from behind and Sukuna got stabbed by this demon with no cursed energy.

2. Chapter 252 Raw Scans, Leaks
Choso and Hakari are back in the latest raw scans and spoilers of Jujutsu Kaisen.
In this particular chapter, Kusakabe and Ino are having a discussion about Yuta’s actions. They mention that he has moved the coordinates of the domain barrier to a better location, and they were expecting Yuta’s domain to crumble. Maki was ready to surprise attack Sukuna, and this conversation took place before Maki entered Yuta’s domain. It’s a small flashback.
Ui Ui teleports and rescues injured Yuta, while Maki and Rika double team Sukuna. Maki uses Dragon Bone on Sukuna, and Yuji attempts to attack Sukuna but starts coughing up blood from the damage. Maki then sends Sukuna flying and rushes to Yuta’s domain just as it crumbles down. Despite fighting all of them, Sukuna is still going at it with Maki as they fight on the highway. Sukuna hits Maki, sending her flying towards the concrete. This looks bad, as Sukuna seems to be back in control, and like the monster he is, he breaks the whole highway. Maki is shocked but stands up again.

Hakari claims that they will be the ones to emerge victorious, to which Uraume responds by calling him as stupid as his cursed technique. Uraume then adds that the sorcerers should be ashamed of themselves for lacking the agility of Gojo Satoru, since Sukuna hasn’t even shown his true power against them.

3. Chapter 252 Speculation
I. Existence of Multiple Cursed Techniques
In the most recent chapter of Jujutsu Kaisen, we see something that was previously thought to be impossible. This was the existence of multiple cursed techniques in a single individual. Yuji is the only one with this shocking attribute. He was thought to have no cursed techniques, but now, suddenly, he has two cursed techniques along with the reverse cursed technique.
So far in the story, he can use Exploding blood and his own technique that lets him strike the souls. It is also very believable that he can use all the other moves since “Blood Manipulation” is the original cursed Technique. On top of that, we saw how Yuta was able to use cleave just by eating one of Sukuna’s fingers. If it isn’t due to his own CT, then maybe Yuji can use much more than just a cleave. After all, he still has the rest of the fingers inside him.
II. Megumi’s Chances of Survival
Megumi is certainly not as mentally strong as Yuji is, so it’s natural for him to break apart after seeing his own sister die at his hands. In the brief moment where Yuji interacted with him, he said he just wanted all this to end. Whether his will matters in the separation of souls isn’t mentioned anywhere, but it definitely does to some degree.
If he doesn’t fight back Sukuna from the inside, that could heavily change the outcome of the battle. There’s also a slight possibility that they manage to save him, but he ends up triggering the merger from his depression.
4. Chapter 251 Recap
The chapter started as Sukuna got hit by a mock “Cleave”. As he wondered when Yuta copied his technique, Yuta answered it himself, uncovering one of the biggest mysteries of the show. Sukuna never found his last finger because Yuta had already eaten it, so Sukuna never regained his full power. Even though they were talking, they didn’t stop attacking Sukuna. Yuji kicked him in the face, and in return, Sukuna grabbed him and slashed his stomach. To distract him, Yuji spat his blood on Sukuna’s face.
A barrage of attacks continued to land on Sukuna as Yuji and Yuta continuously healed themselves using RCT. Suddenly, Sukuna made a reckless move. Yuta had already chosen Angel’s cursed technique, “Jacob’s Ladder,” as his domain’s sure-hit effect. Despite all the risk, Sukuna undid the “Hollow Wicker Basket”, and took the full force of the domain’s attacks on himself just to unleash the world bisecting slash.
Yuta and Yuji knew he’d try this as his last resort and prepared for it. They closed in on Sukuna since the barrier was down. After fighting nonstop for so long, his control over Megumi’s body was getting desynced, and the attacks were much weaker. The attacks were at a point where Yuta and Yuji could immediately heal after taking them head-on. Yuji left everyone surprised when he used exploding blood on Sukuna.
We saw a flashback of them as Yuji explained his plan to save Megumi. According to Yuki’s notes, two souls can never be completely merged. As long as a technique similar to Mahito’s technique wasn’t involved, it was possible to wake up Megumi’s soul. Angel added that in Sukuna’s case, his cursed technique is merged with his personality, so using her technique, fatal damage can be dealt to him, but Megumi’s soul needs to be removed first.
Yuta used the maximum output of “Jacob’s Ladder” to weaken Sukuna as much as possible. This gave Yuji the perfect opportunity to get inside the border of the souls. With a single punch, he was standing right in front of Megumi. Yuta and Yji’s plan had no flaws, but luck was once again against them. After all that happened, even the last bit of Megumi’s will to live was extinguished.
Megumi’s exhausted soul wanted to end this, and he wanted to end his own miserable life. On the outside, it was too late. Facing all the obstacles, Sukuna still managed to finish the chant and hand signs, launching a world-bisecting slash on Yuta and Yuji. The chapter doesn’t end there as history repeats itself once again. The strongest sorcerer standing gets stabbed by a Zenin demon with no cursed energy.
