As she says this, a gaseous Cursed Spirit envelops her head, presumably suffocating. He responds to her question by claiming that the ancient sorcerers are as insignificant to him as seasoning and water, and he has no attachment to them.
She questions Kenjaku about how he knows where all of the Culling Game contestants are. Kenjaku says that he gave cursed things and seals to the old and awakened sorcerers, making it easier to track them.
He then explains that even if he hadn’t done so, all of the players would have chosen to remain in the colonies. He says there’s no need to leave because being hunted down or adapting to society were their only options. Someone soon enters and verifies that the girl, who appears to be Takako Uro, is no longer alive.
Kenjaku expresses regret before pulling out his phone and switching to the live stream of Sukuna vs. Satoru Gojo, just in time to witness the latter’s death.
Kenjaku compliments Sukuna’s tactics and how much fun he’s having, while Hazenoki laments not having the backing he planned on having to battle Kenjaku. Kenjaku says that he understands precisely how Hazenoki’s Cursed Technique works.
Hazenoki, like the girl, then inquires about Kenjaku’s endgame. Kenjaku then outlines his goal of merging the Japanese people into Tengen’s higher life form, adding that he wants to witness something never seen before.
The Cursed Spirits then attack Takaba, while Kenjaku declares that, with the exception of Hiromi Higuruma, he is uninterested in awakened sorcerers. Takaba, much to Kenjaku’s surprise, appears unharmed and claims that the gloves are going off now.
Takaba then claims that the most thrilling thing in the world is when a supporting character steals the show. The story concludes with Kenjaku agreeing as both of them smile and appear to prepare for battle.
