Chapter 127 of Jujutsu Kaisen titled “Shibuya Incident: 43” starts with Yuji confessing his helplessness to Todo. Mahito interrupts their conversation and attacks the three. Todo dodges his attacks swiftly, and Mahito gets impressed by Todo’s skills.
Todo advises Yuji and tells him not to think of narrow-minded thoughts. He reminds Yuji that they all are Jujutsu Sorcerers, and none of the past sorcerers’ lives can be considered as lives lost in vain. Jujutsu Sorcerers have been entrusted with something, the answer to which they search all their lifetime, and this punishment all sorcerers must endure till death.
Todo’s words leave a profound impact in Yuji’s mind, and as he is thinking, Arata heals his wounds with cursed technique. He warns Yuji to not get any new injuries as that would damage his previous injuries as well. Arata looks at Yuji and thinks Yuji and Todo look nothing alike despite being brothers.
Arata also informs Yuji of Kugisaki’s state. He tells him not to get his hopes up as she has more than a zero percent chance of survival and decides to flee the premises with Kugisaki.
Yuji rearranges his thoughts and gets up. He uses Black Flash and strikes Mahito. He asks for Nanami’s forgiveness as he was about to use his sins as an excuse to run away. He wants to share Nanami’s suffering and gets ready to fight Mahito alongside Todo one last time.
