Chapter 126 of Jujutsu Kaisen titled “Shibuya Incident: 43” starts off on a lighter note when Yuji starts reminiscing a hilarious incident in the past with Kugisaki and Megumi.
He remembers Kugisaki spilling coffee on Ijichi’s shirt and then forcing them into paying its cleanup fee. The trio in the end gets caught by Gojo when he discovers the shirt tucked inside Megumi’s clothes.
The tone of the chapter suddenly changes into grim when we find Yuji observing Kugisaki’s body lying dead on the ground with a massive wound in her eye.
While Yuji copes up with Kugisaki’s death, Mahito strikes the vulnerable Yuji and beats him unconscious only to get interrupted by Todo.

The chapter starts with Yuji in turmoil as he’s grieving over the deaths of his comrade and senpai – Kugisaki and Nanami. He tells Todo that he can’t fight anymore, not only two of his closest mates have died, he has caused utter destruction outside.
Todo, however, gives him a taste of the special “Aoi Todo Brotherly Speech” – meanwhile, Mahito is surprised to witness Todo in action. The special grade curse is unable to keep up with the shaman hunk.
By the end of the chapter, Yuji remembers Nanami’s words and strengthens his resolve. Raw scans end with Yuji concentrating his curse energy into his fist for a Black Flash.

His hands start shaking and he wonders if Nanami’s death was a rampage caused by Sukuna and his loss to Choso all happened because of his incompetence, he could not save his friends from danger.
While these thoughts are going around Yuji’s head, Mahito takes the chance to attack a defenseless Yuji. He casts Black Flash curse and strikes Yuji.
He berates Yuji while hitting him again and again. Mahito says that Yuji and he are alike. One kills people without a second thought and one saves people.
Mahito declares that he does not remember the countless people he had killed and Yuji would be no exception.
Just as Mahito wants to land the last strike at a now injured Yuji, Todo switches his place with Mahito using his teleportation curse.
Arata Nitta interrupts the whole situation to inform Todo that he has finished treating Kugisaki but she might probably be dead already.
Todo tells Yuji to wake up as their battle has just begun, while almost beaten to death Yuji recognizes Todo and calls out his name.
Arata gets a bad vibe through this whole situation.
