According to a tweet, in the latest podcast of Weekly Shōnen Jump, Sasaki (former editor in chief of WSJ) said that the anime might air in the fall of 2020.

Shueisha has released 10 tankōbon volumes of it as of March this year. The manga is simultaneously published on the website of MangaPlus since January 2019.
As it seems, any concrete information about the anime release will be revealed in the 25th issue of Weekly Shōnen Jump magazine.

The publisher of the manga is Shueisha, and the English publisher is Viz Media. Two light novels titled: Jujutsu Kaisen: Soaring Summerand Returning Autumn and Jujutsu Kaisen: The Path of Roses at Dawn, written by Ballad Kitaguni published by Jump J. Books on May 1, 2019, and January 4, 2020, respectively.
TOHO Animation will produce the anime. Having produced major animes such as My Hero Academia, Dr. Stone, Psycho-Pass, Haikyu! etc. TOHO is no stranger to the animation world.
Thus it might even excite the fans to know that TOHO is responsible for the Jujutsu Kaisen anime. There seems to be confusion in the fans about whether the studio and it seems like MAPPA Animation might shoulder the work.
The manga has been slowly increasing its rank in the Weekly Shōnen Jump magazine and even joined the top 5 ranks several times. It is high time that the manga gets turned into an anime.
Of course, the ongoing pandemic might be a hindrance to the production procedure. Still, we hope they make steady progress without harming their health.
