Jujutsu Kaisen 0 Debuts New Trailer Ahead of North American Premiere

Jujutsu Kaisen 0 is finally set for its international release this month and some fans just got a little luckier than others.

The franchise drops a new trailer with English subtitles for the movie, making fans go gaga. Jujutsu Kaisen’s official Twitter page and Crunchyroll give a glimpse of the trailer along with its international release dates.

Jujutsu Kaisen 0 will open with English subtitles and with an English dub in the U.S., Canada, and the UK on March 18, 2022.

Crunchyroll also revealed that the film will open in theaters in France, Belgium, and Luxembourg on March 16, and in Germany, Austria, Switzerland on March 29.

The latest trailer for the prequel movie shows the events that lead up to Yuta becoming cursed. It also portrays how the sorcerer Satoru Gojo convinces him to use those powers for good.

The video also offers a few more glimpses at Yuta’s Jujutsu High classmates in action, as Maki Zenin battles a massive Curse while Panda and Toge take on the movie’s primary antagonist, the humanity-hating Suguru Geto.

The breakdown of Jujutsu Kaisen 0’s new slate of international release dates in all available territories is as follows:

  • March 10 – Singapore, Malaysia, and Brunei
  • March 16 – France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Morocco, Tunisia, Indonesia, and Mongolia
  • March 17 – Australia and New Zealand
  • March 18 – US, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, Democratic Republic Of Congo, Congo, Burkina Faso, Algeria, Ivory Coast, Senegal, Djibouti, Mali, Guinea, Niger, Togo Cameroon, Madagascar, and Benin
  • March 24 – Mexico, Brazil, and Argentina
  • March 29 – Germany, Austria, and Switzerland
  • March 31 – The Netherlands

Jujutsu Kaisen 0 premiered in Japan on Dec. 24 and is already one of the top 10 highest-grossing anime films of all time.

Distributor Toho Co. Ltd. originally projected the movie to earn 10 billion yen (about USD 85 million) during its entire lifetime, a sum that it has now surpassed by a healthy 2 billion yen before its international release.

Jujutsu Kaisen, also known as Sorcery Fight, is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Gege Akutami, serialized in Weekly Shōnen Jump since March 2018.

An anime television series adaptation produced by MAPPA premiered in October 2020.

The story revolves around Yuuji Itadori, a high-school student who, despite hating athletics, is insanely fit. Yuuji gets involved in the world of sorcery when he swallows a powerful talisman to protect his friends from its curse.
