The latest Joker movie, Joker: Folie à Deux, is currently in production and promises to be another dark addition to the Elseworlds franchise.
Following the massive success of the first film in 2019, director Todd Phillips is back with another story featuring the infamous Clown Prince of Crime.
New images from the movie have been released, showing Harley Quinn and Arthur Fleck in a different light.
It’s been several months since filming began, and now it’s officially wrapped up. Fans can’t wait to see what kind of chaos and mayhem the Joker will unleash in this highly anticipated sequel.
New Images of Lady Gaga portraying Harley Quinn and Phoenix’s Joker have been released to mark the event. The film is slated to hit the screens in October 2024.
Folie à Deux means madness of two, and the story will follow Arthur’s life after the events of the 2019 film. Lady Gaga will be introduced as Harley, and the Elseworlds narrative will explore their relationship differently.
It is uncertain if the traditional role of Harley will be retained in the story, and there have been rumors that she may be a fellow patient at Arkham Asylum.
Apart from Arthur, Zazie Beetz will be the only returning cast member. She will reprise her role as Sophie Dumond. The rest of the cast, including Harry Lawtey, Jacob Lofland, Brendan Gleeson, and Catherine Keener, have been announced, but their respective roles remain undisclosed.
The set photos also reveal banners referencing Harvey Dent, a notorious villain from the Batman franchise. However, it is yet to be confirmed if Harvey will appear in the movie or not.
Since the filming is completed, we expect that the trailer for the film will release in a couple of months.
It is uncertain whether the production company will unveil it on the internet or during a significant media gathering.
However, based on what we know about the movie, the trailer will surely be the perfect concoction of dark humor and a gritty narrative.
