The infamous third years of Jujutsu Tech have finally joined the party on Yuji’s side and are ready to help them. The Culling Game is Kenjaku’s new plan to fulfill his goal of bringing back the Golden Age of Jujutsu.
With the existence of cursed spirits known to the public and the Jujutsu world in chaos, the game will only get more brutal.
Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 158 marked the beginning of the Culling Game arc in the manga. Yuji and company have prepared for the upcoming battles to unseal Gojo sensei and avenge their fallen friends.
The Culling Game is a type of survival game where both sorcerers and non-sorcerers can participate. The goal is to eliminate the weak by killing each other and gathering points.
Chapter 158 teased two of the top players in the game right now, Kashimo Hajime and Higuruma Hiromi, with more than 100 points. Kashimo originally had 200 points but spent 100 of them to make a new rule in the game.
His rule lets you know about every player’s information, like which colony they’re in, how many points they have and how many times they changed a rule.
Kashimo intends to find Sukuna, who is residing inside Itadori. At that moment, Yuji became a player due to Sukuna and will now have to kill people to gather points, win the game and unseal Gojo.
Megumi has come up with a counter-strategy to avoid bloodshed and win the game without heavy casualties. He plans to gather enough points to make a rule to ensure that Tsumuki and others can get out of the game.
But since that rule will heavily affect the entire gameplay, he’ll have to find a loophole.
Megumi also plans to establish a rule that can make points transferable, so that lack of points due to not killing people doesn’t remove the player’s cursed technique.
There are too many things to handle and a lot less power and time in our protagonists’ hands right now. They have to get Megumi’s sister out, stop the barbarism, unseal Gojo, fight their way through and bring order back to the Jujutsu world.
Will our sorcerers be able to do all this without Gojo? Will they be able to defeat Kashimo and Higuruma? We can only wait and find out.
