Aquaman is returning to the big screen in 2023 despite the ongoing strikes that have disrupted the film industry. The studios have been at odds with the unions over fair compensation and working conditions for writers and actors, jeopardizing many projects.

One of them was Dune: Part Two, the highly anticipated sequel to the sci-fi epic, which had to be pushed back from November to March 2024. However, Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom will not let anything stop it from swimming into theaters this December, and this teaser confirms it.

The DCEU is coming to a close with Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, the final chapter of the shared universe that started with Man of Steel.

However, Aquaman fans shouldn’t worry, as there is still hope for the future. The DC Universe is getting a fresh start in 2025 with Superman: Legacy, under the leadership of James Gunn and Peter Safran.

Whether Jason Mamoa will join them remains to be seen, but he has hinted at some positive talks with the new creative team.

For now, let’s enjoy his epic showdown with Black Manta, which promises to be a rollercoaster.

The upcoming full trailer is the next thing to look forward to for DC fans. We’ll see more of Patrick Wilson, Nicole Kidman, and Yahya Abdul-Mateen, who were briefly seen in the teaser. We might also see some familiar faces missing from the video, like Dolph Lundgren and Amber Heard.

What will they be up to in the sequel? And what is the mystery of the Lost Kingdom? Hopefully, the trailer will reveal more titbits about the unknown. Don’t miss it!
