Is Yuuki Stronger Than Rimuru? Can He Defeat Him?

In the captivating world of Tensei Shitara Slime Datta Ken, the characterization of its main villain, Yuuki, takes intriguing twists across the light novel, manga, and anime adaptations.

From a happy-go-lucky guy who just wants to read some comics to a psychopathic killer that destroys all, Yuuki’s character is very amusing.

While the web novel has concluded, his powers and backstory haven’t been completely developed in the light novel and manga.

With little information, it is difficult to predict how the story will go on and how strong he’ll become.

However, no matter what Yuuki’s character is in either format, he will probably still be an antagonist Rimuru will have to fight one day.

With that in mind, let’s compare their strength and see who comes out on top. Place your bets, Slime Vs. Bored Emo Guy.

1. Is Yuuki Stronger Than Rimuru?

Yuuki Kagurazaka is not stronger than Rimuru Tempest, who has reached godhood by the end of TenSura. After learning time travel, Rimuru returns to the present and digests Yuuki, who dies.

In the light novel, Yuuki is portrayed as a guy who wants a just world where everyone is free to do what they want, while in the web novel, Yuuki embodies a maniacal emo who wants the world to burn down for the injustices he suffered.

In both cases, he wants to be the ruler and believes that the end justifies the means.

With such lofty goals bound to cause tumultuous changes in the world of TenSura, Yuuki needs to be strong enough to implement them.

I. How Strong Is Yuuki? – Skills & Abilities

Yuuki Kagurazaka transmigrated into this world, like Rimuru; however, unlike the latter, he had far more ambitious goals.

When Yuuki came into the world of TenSura, he did not seem to have any unique skills other than his abnormal physical abilities. However, this was just a falsehood he maintained to hide his ultimate talent –Mammon, Lord Of  Greed.

This skill of his specialized in depriving not only someone’s life but their ability and even their conscious mind. Using this, Kagurazaka could re-write the information in one’s soul and ingrain loyalty towards himself in them.

Another top-tier skill he had was Melchizedek, Lord of Domination.

Melchizedek was ne of Veldanava’s fourteen angelic abilities, Kagali received the Ultimate Enchantment from Michael. She was kept under control by it until Yuuki Kagurazaka took it away.

This skill had the ability to “Analyze the target’s skill and put it under control”.

Besides his skills and abilities, Yuuki also possessed two legendary pieces of equipment: the Snake Sword and the Veldanava Sword. The former could change its shape freely and absorb damage, while the latter could allow its owner to use energy beyond his limit.

Yuuki was powerful enough to defeat Milim, Guy, Ramiris, Velgrynd, Velzado, Veldora, and many more during the final battle.

II. How Strong Is Rimuru? – Skills & Abilities

By the end of the series, Rimuru surpasses Veldanava to become the most robust character in TenSura. With powers rivaling a god, he can journey anywhere, anytime he likes, and travel between worlds.

After becoming a demon slime, his powers further enhanced, and he acquired top-tier abilities such as Infinite Regeneration, Universal Thread, and so forth. However, that still wasn’t his limit.

After engulfing and analyzing the powers of his best friend Veldora in his fight against Velgrynd, Rimuru acquired the management of a dragon and gained the ability called Storm Dragon.

This magic gave him access to powerful spells such as Dark Lightning, Death-Calling Wind, and Storm of Destruction, each more devastating than the other.

After the fight with Yuuki, Rimuru gained the ability to travel across Space-Time at will and even reached godhood by the end. Suffice it to say; he is more potent than anyone in TenSura, let alone Yuuki.

2. Did Yuuki Defeat Rimuru?

Yuuki did not defeat Rimuru and was instead killed by him. After Rimuru learned to travel through space and time, he returned to the battle scene and devoured Yuuki, absorbing all his abilities and ensuring his death.

During the final battle, Yuuki cleverly manipulates Rimuru into casting a spell that sends him to the edge of space and time.

Frustrated by his failure, Rimuru muses about constructing a new universe but finds the idea repulsive.

Ciel tells rimuru that he recently learned a teleportation ability from one of Yuuki’s henchmen, a sort of space-time manipulation.

With this newfound skill, he returned to when the fight occurred and defeated Yuuki. After doing so, Rimuru devoured Yuuki and absorbed his power, resulting in the latter’s death.
