Is Seven Deadly Sins Manga Ending Soon?

The Seven Deadly Sins released its third season in Japan in October 2019. They received a very negative response from the audience, mainly due to the poor animation. It was teased earlier last year that the story was concluding, and looks like it’s finally happening.

@Yhon_magazine recently tweeted out the 40th volume of the manga with an author’s note, which states that the manga will conclude with “one more volume.” It has been officially confirmed that Nanatsu no Taizai will end with Volume 41 releasing in May 2020.

Nakaba Suzuki, the creator of The Seven Deadly Sins, previously talked in interviews about how he has a definite ending planned and how he wants to end the story with at least 40 volumes worth of content. The 40th volume of The Seven Deadly Sins will start shipping on 17th February in Japan.

It is unclear what the note implies as the fanbase was teased about an ending before; however, fans are still gearing up emotionally about the end.

About The Seven Deadly Sins

The Seven Deadly Sins is a fantasy manga series written and illustrated by Nakaba Suzuki. The manga began being serialized in Kodansha’s Weekly Shonen Magazine in 2012 and continues till the present, with around 39 volumes published.

It all starts when the princess of the Kingdom of Lionnes(Elizabeth Lionnes), the descendant of the Goddess Clan, embarks upon a journey to find the most vicious criminals Seven Deadly Sins (Nanatsu no Taizai). Nanatsu no Taizai is the seven most dangerous criminals of the Kingdom, each named after the seven sins of the myths.

Meliodas(Dragon’ sin of Wrath), Ban (Fox’ sin of Greed), Dianne (Serpent’s sin of Envy), Merlin (Boar’s sin of Gluttony), Escanor (Lion’ sin of Pride), Gowther (Goat’s sin of Lust) and King (Grizzly’ sin of Sloth).

Ten years ago, all the sins were banished from the Kingdom after they were framed for the murder of Great Holy Knight, Zaratars. Now, the Kingdom is about to fall in the hands of the corrupt Holy Knights, and Elizabeth must find the Sins and their leader Meliodas to save the Kingdom.
