NCIS Shows on Hiatus Ahead of Winter Olympics

The Winter Olympics are here, and so your favorite TV shows are bound to go through some schedule shifts, even the ones not on NBC or Peacock.

So, although NCIS and NCIS: Hawai’i air on CBS, the two shows will go on hiatus to not overlap with the Games and be replaced by Celebrity Big Brother in the meantime.

NCIS aired Episode 12 of Season 19, titled Fight or Flight, on January 24 and focused on Nick Torres’ abandonment issues after Leroy Jethro Gibbs’ exit. Jimmy Palmer gave him some heartfelt advice, telling him to lean on the people in his life.

The episode’s ending did not preview the next episode, so wherever the story goes is open for predictions. It surely does seem like a long wait as the series’ return is still TBA.

Actor Brian Dietzen, who has become the ‘heart’ of NCIS, has penned the upcoming episode, making it all the more special. As Palmer’s role on the screen grows even further, fans have been excited about his off-screen contribution since the actor announced it in November last year.

NCIS’ official Twitter account posted a GIF from the latest episode, referencing Palmer’s dialogue while talking about the hiatus.

As for the spin-off series, NCIS: Hawai’i is also on a hiatus but will return with Episode 14 on February 28. As the two shows air back-to-back, one can expect NCIS to return on the same day as well.

The two programs also have a crossover event set for March 28, which according to the announcement tweet, is going to be “the crossover event of a lifetime”!

NCIS and NCIS: Hawai’i latest episodes are available to stream on Paramount+.
