The Batman Movie Reportedly Has Two Cuts – With and Without Keoghan?

Something incredible is cooking up in Matt Reeves’ The Batman. To be or not to be may have given Shakespeare sleepless nights, but Batman fans are stuck with – will Barry Keoghan be or not be in Robert Pattinson’s movie?

The Hollywood Reporter’s Heat Vision newsletter revealed that according to “multiple insiders,” Warner Bros. is testing two different versions of Pattinson’s Batman.

The two versions will reportedly have different stories and an impactful ending, as one is with and another without a “certain” (read: key) character.

The company held a final test screening last week per the same newsletter. The decision has now been made on which version they would like to release.

Essentially, or as official reports revealed till now, Keoghan will be playing a Gotham city police officer Stanley Merkel.

However, thanks to deuxmoi, who posts “leaks” of major pop culture movies, rumors of Keoghan playing a crooked police officer who turns out to be the legendary villain, The Joker, fired up.

Excitement for Reeves’ The Batman went through the roof when the rumors spread across social media like wildfire. The fandom divided in half, creating (and backing) their theories of Keoghan turning out to be The Joker and others by refuting the imaginative storyline.

With multiple villains lined up in The Batman – Riddler, Penguin, Carmine Falcone, and Catwoman – a few wonder if The Joker is even necessary for the Reeves trilogy.

Considering the “Why So Serious” pop culture icon has been legendary and synonymous with Gotham City’s Caped Crusader, the movie without him might feel a tad bit bland.

Meanwhile, Pattinson’s acting has unarguably leveled up since his Twilight era. The official trailer drop had many believing the actor could top Christian Bale’s Batman.
