Towa gains victory against Erika with a perfect ippon in episode 5 of Ippon Again!, titled “Judo Feels So Wonderful, Doesn’t It?”. Michi goes against Ami and although their match is incredibly close, Ami wins. They start preparing for their midterms, but Michi is still hyped about the match and gushes over Towa and others for their many victories.
Nagumo leads her kendo team to nationals. However, something is bothering her, and she suddenly asks Michi what she will think if she quits Kendo.

1. Episode 6 Speculation:
Episode 6 is titled “I Don’t Want to Regret It”. It seems that Nagumo has some worries and may quit Kendo. However, seeing her enthusiasm towards the sport, she definitely likes it, so it is unlikely she wants to quit because she lost interest. We will learn the reasons behind her worries in the next episode.
It is possible that Michi might be able to alleviate any worries Nagumo feels so that she is able to take a proper decision since they have been friends for so long. The Judo Club may also be getting new members soon.
2. Episode 6 Release Date
Episode 6 of the Ippon again! anime, titled “I Don’t Want to Regret It”, has been released on Sunday, Feb 12, 2023.

3. Episode 5 Recap
Towa thinks back to when Erika taught her all the moves for judo in middle school. Because of her skills, Towa was able to master the moves very quickly and steadily climbed the ranks.
Towa tries to score an ippon seoi as Erika taught her, against her. Erika uses it as a feint but Towa turns over the situation, scoring an ippon and gaining a perfect victory. They thank and apologize to each other and Erika tells Towa that she will win against Towa when they face off next.
The last match for their round is between Michi and Ami. Michi struggles to gain a point against Ami since the latter is good at grappling. But Michi uses her flexibility to her advantage and scores a waza-ari. Nagumo, Sanae, and Towa all cheer her.
Michi scores an ippon, but it goes out of bounds, so they try again. Since Michi is ahead with points, she would have been able to win if she stayed on the defensive, but both she and Ami charge at each other, being too engrossed and excited, and Ami is able to score an ippon, winning the match. Thus Aoba West loses.
Sanae and Towa bring a drink for Michi, and she gushes over Towa due to her amazing match. Sanae assures her that she has gotten strong as well. Sanae and Towa go to cheer on Kasumigaoka, and Michi goes to cheer Nagumo. After the tournament is over, the girls from Aoba and Kasumigaoka walk back together, laughing and complimenting each other.
Michi, Sanae, Towa, and Nagumo study for their midterms. However, Michi gets too distracted and starts talking about the match again. They run off as Gondo starts getting angry at them. Nagumo looks at the three with worry on her face.
Back at her home, Nagumo gets complimented by her father, who is very proud of her for getting her team to nationals. While she studies, Nagumo looks at the photograph of her and Michi with a forlorn expression.
The next day, Nagumo sees Michi practising at the practice hall even though club activities are off for exams. Michi excitedly talks about how Nagumo’s efforts paid off. Nagumo gets Michi’s attention and asks her what she will think if she quits kendo.

About Mou Ippon!
Mou Ippon! is a manga series by Yu Muraoka that debuted in the Weekly Shonen Champion magazine in October 2018. It received an anime adaptation in January 2023.
The series begins by showing how Michi, Towa, and Sanae, three middle-school girls became friends due to their love of judo. While Michi wanted to leave the sports, the other two reminded her of the feeling of ippon. Together, they constitute the judo club in their school.
