Intel 13th Gen Raptor Lake CPUs to be Showcased on September 27th, Launch on October 20th

Intel and AMD are going head to head again with their next-gen CPUs arriving in the next couple of months. AMD already revealed that their Ryzen 7000 series will be launching on September 27th, and now Intel makes its move. 

Intel’s 13th gen Raptor Lake processors have been the hot topic among leakers recently with many specifications and benchmarks getting leaked to the public. However, now there is news on the launch date of these CPUs. 

According to leaker @wxnod, Intel’s 13th gen Raptor Lake series will be showcased on September 27th during the Intel Innovation event (listed as 28th for Taiwan). The CPUs will launch almost a month later on October 20th.

The image comes from a leaked slide from an internal presentation in Go To Market(GTM). Moreover, Intel will start pre-orders of the flagship Core i9 chips just after the showcase, followed by the Core i7 and Core i5 series two weeks later.  

Intel Raptor Lake launch schedule: 

  • September 27th (28th Taiwan): Intel 13th Gen Core Announcement 
  • September 27th (28th Taiwan): Intel i9-13900K preorders 
  • October 13th: Intel i7-13700K, i5-13600K preorders 
  • October 20th: availability of Core i9/i7/i5 series 

It’s not revealed when Intel’s Z790 motherboards will launch, but we should expect them to launch together with the CPUs. What, the roadmap does not mention are non-K parts or their mobile variants. Those should also appear next year.

Well, the fun part is that AMD Ryzen 7000 processors and the AM5 platform are hitting shelves on the same day as Intel’s announcement. So, September 27th will be a big day for both Intel and AMD enthusiasts. So, keep your calendar updated, as our eyes are already waiting for that day.
