3. Recap of Episode 11

Kotoko announces that Sumi did not kill herself and that murder is the case on their hands, one she knows the culprit of. We also see a flashback to a meeting with one of the spirits with Kotoko, who claims to be the culprit behind her murder.

But he eventually confesses that a thief committed the murder. He was the one who shapeshifted and shouted out to have an alibi and shift the story toward how he intended to carry out his plan, and he even knew the culprit.

The culprit is revealed to be Kaoroku, the daughter of Sumi. She had merely faked the fracture and killed her when Sumi assumed she wanted to talk privately about something. Kotoko even sees through the lies of Koya, who was covering for Kaoroku.

Three murder plans were being conceived simultaneously, making it easy for Koya to quickly shift the blame onto whatever seemed most believable to the group and merely stay silent. He doubles down on his story and fights back against Kotoko’s argument.

He gets even more triggered and starts shouting at Kotoko, who doesn’t let the fact that a spirit was involved be revealed to the group and instead makes up a different story for why Sumi would want to cover for her daughter’s crime.

The debate goes out of hand, and in the heat of it all, Koya accidentally slips up and spits the truth. The Chairman is shocked by the whole ordeal, and Kotoko takes the moral high ground in this room of sinners and she tries to leave with Kuro.

Koya pulls out a gun as he does not intend to let them leave with the truth in their hands. Kotoko says that she has no reason to get in the way of his business, and Kuro begins walking toward Koya but is immediately shot in the head and casually walks off seconds later.
