Chapter 2 opens with Tsubasa Ichinose returning to school after his memory loss. Shiori goes without him even though they attend the same high school, and each member goes to their respective workplace. Tsubasa is disappointed the family is distant from each other despite just starting to get to know each other.
Tsubasa is curious to know who his friends are, and Nakajima greets him as his best friend. He does not know his phone password either. Nakajima tells him he has not changed, is just as slow as ever, and forgets things quickly. He tells him there will be a party to welcome him back to the school and that he better come.
He calls Tsubasa his best buddy. Tsubasa is glad to have Nakajima by his side. He enters the classroom excitedly, only to have a bucket of food scraps thrown all over him by Nakajima. Nakajima makes Tsubasa bow down to him and humiliates him by forcing him to eat the food scraps.
Tsubasa asks Nakajima why he is doing this to him even though he said he was his best friend, but Nakajima laughs and tells him to clean the classroom because he is his best friend. Tsubasa breaks down and cries, thinking this is who he is. He starts to write “Die” all over the wall.
