The fake Kakeru laughs at Tsubasa’s curiosity and tells the family they will understand everything after they find the truth behind the accident. Tsubasa and the family decide to clean their rooms to find clues. Kozo finds a photo album, and their family chooses to visit one of the landscapes in the album to try to remember something. They head to Kagiyama Athletic Park.
Tsubasa remembers a picnic with his family and Nakajima and cries. The family decide to visit the rest of the places in the album to uncover more memories. The fake Kakeru visits Tsubasa with the broken camera, remembering that someone took a photo of him with it.
The fake Kakeru warns Tsubasa to stop trying to remember his past and reveals his name is Sota. Sota tells Tsubasa he was seriously injured after the accident and has been in a coma for four years(which would be accurate considering Kozo mentioned a loop of 2000 years). The last panel shows Tsubasa in a hospital, comatose, in the year 2023.
