Shoresy Teaser Ends Letterkenny’s Long-Running Gag, Reveals #69’s Face

The absurdly hilarious Canadian sitcom Letterkenny has now spawned a spinoff focusing on Shoresy, and Hulu just dropped a teaser for the series set to premiere later this spring.

After ten seasons of witnessing the hilarious trials and tribulation of a fictional rural town in Ontario, Canada with Letterkenny, the six-episode spinoff will finally give the high-pitched falsetto voice a face.

Shoresy is a fellow hockey player whose face is never once revealed throughout Letterkenny as he’s portrayed by Jared Keeso, who also plays Wayne in the series.

However, the new teaser from Hulu finally revealed the face behind that infamous voice as Keeso returns as the star, writer, and creator for the spinoff. Although the tiny clip doesn’t reveal much, we can see the #69 jersey on the court with several former professional hockey players.

As Shoresy is recruited from the local hockey team onto an AAA team, he’ll be joined by pro hockey players Jonathan-Ismael Diaby, Andrew “The Canon” Antsanen, Terry Ryan, Jon “Nasty” Mirasty, Brandon Nolan, and Jordan Nolan.

The spinoff will keep Shoresy’s charm from the original series, as according to Hulu, he will return as “the foul-mouthed, chirp-serving, mother-loving, fan-favorite character, join a senior AAA hockey team in Sudbury on a quest to never lose again.”

Letterkenny, like all classics do, first began as a series of skits called Letterkenny Problems in 2013 on YouTube. Canadian network Crave then picked up the series in 2016, with Hulu’s streaming bringing it a lot of popularity in the United States in 2018.

Shoresy will stream on Hulu in the United States, with Crave streaming it in Canada sometime in spring 2022.
