About Hula Fulla Dance

Hula Fulla Dance is all about Hwa Natsunagi, a high school student in Fukushima Prefecture’s Iwaki City.

Worried about what she’ll do after graduation, she sees a poster for Spa Resort Hawaiians the “Hawaii of Tohoku,” where her sister Mari used to work and applies on the spur of the moment to their new dancer (hula girl) campaign.

Hiwa gets hired despite her lack of expertise, and she begins her journey to becoming a Hula Girl with her classmates Kanna, Ranko, ‘ohana, and Shion. Their first stage, however, ends in tragedy because they are unable to keep up with one another due to their different personalities.

The girls are called the “most pitiful rookies ever,” but despite the occasional misstep, they learn to share the good and bad…and cement their friendship. The ladies take to the stage once more, their hearts and minds set.
