Nursery Rhymes in Alan Wake 2 are a type of puzzle scattered throughout three areas for Saga to find. It requires you to place sculpted Dolls in various positions around chalk drawings. They’re a bit creepy, but that’s expected from a survival horror title.
There are 17 Nursery Rhymes and 13 Dolls for players to find and solve, but we’ll be focusing on the Father Doll specifically. It’s also a crucial element to finish the final puzzle and complete the puzzles once and for all, but you don’t need to actually find the Father Doll.
Players can get the Father Doll in Alan Wake 2 by completing all 16 Nursery Rhymes. After completing the last puzzle, whichever it might be for the player, an FBC briefcase will automatically spawn along with the usual Charm reward, and inside it will be the Father Doll.
After finding it, players need to collect it and take it to Witchfinder Station at Cauldron Lake for the final Nursery Rhyme puzzle. Now that you’ve found the final doll, all that remains is to solve the final Rhyme.
1. How to solve the final Nursery Rhyme Puzzle?
Once players have reached Witchfinder Station at Cauldron Lake, the dolls should be placed in the following positions:
- Father Doll on the Eye drawing near the fireplace on the first floor.
- Mother Doll on the Heart drawing in the kitchen.
- Child Doll on the Hatchling drawing in the playpen upstairs.
- Trickster Doll on the Water drawing in the second floor bathroom.
- Hero Doll on the Sun drawing in the first floor bedroom.
After doing so, the nearby radio transmission will change from the final Rhyme broadcast to a person speaking. Answer it and speak with them until the communication ends, after which, use your flashlight to destroy the Darkness Barrier around the radio.
2. What are the rewards for completing the final Nursery Rhyme?
Completing the final Nursery Rhyme rewards players with an upgrade to Saga’s Charm Bracelet which lets her equip a fourth charm.
In addition to that, you’ll also unlock the “I’ll Find You” and “Shift in Reality” Trophies / Achievements for collecting all the Dolls and completing all the Nursery Rhyme Puzzles respectively.
3. How to fix the Father Doll bug in Alan Wake 2?
There exists a bug involving the Father Doll in Alan Wake 2, due to which players cannot pick up the Doll from the briefcase. To solve it, simply put the cursor over the actual physical Doll and then grab it.
This will easily fix the bug, and you can now continue to progress to the Final Nursery Rhyme. If you can’t grab it in one click, then don’t worry; keep trying, and chances are that you’ll pick it up without any further issues.
