AC Valhalla Mastery Points Guide: How to Get and Use It to Boost Stats

If you love grinding in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, one of the main objectives you’d love to complete is to earn every single achievement possible in-game. While scrolling down the trophy list, you will notice an achievement called ‘Full Mastery’, and you need to spend a Mastery Point to complete it in the game.

However, even some veterans have no clue about the term “Mastery Points”, as it’s something that’s introduced late into the game. As a result, you might wonder how you can get a mastery point for yourself in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.

Players need to max out their skill tree by unlocking 400 different abilities that can be done by reaching the max level in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. After that, you have to level up to 401 or higher to get your first Mastery Point.

There are several ways you can use the Mastery Points to make your character stronger. To help you out, we’ll explain everything you need to know about Mastery Points and how to use them in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.

Where can you spend your Mastery Points in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla?

Mastery Points

You can spend your Mastery Points in the skill tree on three different areas: Bear Mastery, Wolf Mastery, and Raven Mastery. Every one of these mastery skills will slightly increase your character’s stats.

You can find these mastery skills on the top after you unlock everything in the skill tree. To help you decide where you should spend your points, I’ll explain each mastery skill and which stats they increase. They are:

I. Bear Mastery

Investing points into the Bear Mastery will slightly increase your stats of health, melee damage, and melee resistance. To be specific, by investing ten Mastery Points, you will receive a 0.2 increase in your HP stats and you will get a 0.1 boost in melee attack and defense.

II. Wolf Mastery

You will increase your stats in health, range resistance, and ranged damage by putting in points in the Wolf mastery on the skill tree. Investing ten Mastery Points will increase your health by 0.2 and your ranged attack and defense stats by 0.1.

III. Raven Mastery

If you choose to put your Mastery Points in the Raven MP in the skill tree, then you will get a slight boost in stats like your health, evasion, and assassination damage. Investing ten Mastery Points will bring up your health and evasiveness by 0.2 and assassination damage by 0.1.

You can choose to invest points on any of these mastery skills, but it mainly depends on your character build. I recommend using the Bear Mastery if you prefer fighting up close, and Wolf Mastery if you choose to pick your battle from afar.

Likewise, if you prefer being sneaky and want to be good at dodging attacks, you can choose Raven Mastery on the skill tree. However, since you’re already at a high level at this point of the game, it doesn’t make a noticeable difference whether you use them or not.

Instead, you can choose to invest your Mastery Points on the feast buff, which causes a significant increase in your stats and provide you with a better chance to defeat late-game bosses.

Start Feast

You have to go to the entrance of your meeting spot in Ravensthorpe and ring the bell to get the feast buff in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. This buff increases your character’s stats significantly for three hours.

Having the feast buff will have the following effect on your stats:

  • +3.0 Ranged Damage
  • +50.0 Health
  • +3.0 Armor
  • +15.2 Assassination Damage
  • +3.0 Melee Damage

You will have to spend 65 Mastery Points to get this buff, but the temporary stat increase is worth it, especially if you are finding it difficult to get past a powerful swarm of enemies or a massive boss in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.
