Easy Guide to Obtain Electrum: Defeating Severian – Final Fantasy 16

Electrum in Final Fantasy 16 is an incredibly rare crafting material. Its only purpose is to be used as part of the crafting recipe for the Drakeslayer’s Belt equipment, which is obtained from the Blacksmith Blues side quest.

Even though it’s rare, the material’s not that hard to get, as it can be obtained from only one source. Locating the source can be a bit tricky, but don’t worry, I’ll make the search easier for you. Be prepared for a fight, as this source might not go down that easily.

The Electrum can be obtained by killing Severian, a Level 31, Rank B, Notorious Mark in Final Fantasy 16. Severian is located to the northwest of the Martha’s Rest Obelisk within the Imperial Province of Rosaria.

The Deadly Severian – Final Fantasy 16

Severian is a Level 31, Rank B Notorious Mark, and he can be quite difficult to take down as he can do some real damage. Be sure to stock up on tonics or health potions before starting the fight, and once you do, unleash everything you’ve got.

Here’s what you need to look out for in order to effectively defeat Severian:

1. Lunge: Severian has a lunge mechanic in which he directly lunges at you very quickly. Dodge to the side as soon as he lunges to avoid getting hit because it takes out a good chunk of your health if you are hit.

2. Shield: Severian sometimes charges itself up while protecting itself with a dome-like shield, which then explodes into smaller circles, which also explode. Stay far away from the shield before it explodes, then run away from the secondary attack.

3. Thunder Orbs: Severian will shoot out two Thunder Orbs at you in quick succession. Be sure to dodge them as soon as he starts shooting out the projectiles.

4. Eradicate: Severian will form blades on both of its hands and then spin like a windmill while shooting out multiple projectiles. This attack is a bit tricky to tackle, but you can run away at a distance to prevent it, or if you’re confident with your timing, you can use Precision Dodge to counter his blades.

Once you’re familiar with his moves and attacks, you’ll be able to take him down easily.
