There is no better feeling than calling up your friends and hopping on a game of Warzone 2 on a long weekend, that is unless you are encountered with a server down or a game crash bug. Luckily, Activision is quick with its patches and fixes, so no bug lasts long.
These days many players have reported encountering a pesky bug that prevents the Friends List from showing up in Warzone 2. As players can’t see their friends, they cannot play with them and enjoy a good game together.
There are a few quite simple fixes available for this bug.
Restart the Gaming Platform
Completely shut down and restart the platform you are playing Warzone 2 on to fix the “friends list not showing” bug.
For Steam, find its icon on the bottom right of the taskbar. Right-click on the icon and select quit to shut Steam down completely. Re-launch it, and the bug should be fixed now.
If this method does not work, you can also try restarting your Wi-Fi router. It is more than possible that your network is weak, and the friend list feature is unable to load.
Disable Cross-Play Mode
If both of the tricks mentioned above do not work for you, then you can also try disabling the cross-play feature in the game.
To do so, simply go to the settings menu, and turn the ‘Cross-Play Mode’ off.
Connect Battle.net to Discord
Connecting the Battle.net account to your discord account will allow you to invite all your friends to the lobby through discord, but note that all your friends must connect their accounts to discord for this trick to work.
To connect discord to your Battle.net account:
- Open and Log into your Discord and Battle.net account simultaneously.
- Go to “User Settings” in Discord.
- Select the “Connections” option from the list on the left side of your screen.
- In the new window, navigate to Battle.net and select it.
- Lastly, Allow Discord permission to access information from Battle.net.
And, just like that, now you can add your friends to the game through discord.
Don’t be disheartened if you are still facing the bug. As I mentioned earlier, Activision Support is great for Warzone 2, and the problem will surely be fixed in a few upcoming days. To stay updated with further developments on the issue, don’t forget to check the Activision Support Twitter feed.
