Steps to Fix the “Addicted to Chaos” Quest Bug – Phantom Liberty Guide

The Addicted to Chaos job in Cyberpunk 2077 should be lightwork for all players, but a recent bug that appeared after Patch 2.02 is preventing that from happening. It occurs when players try to get their reward for sparing Leon Rinder.

After sparing Leon, he tells you the location of a stash hidden in Dogtown. Now, all you need to do is simply go there and retrieve the stash to complete the job, but the bug prevents it once you’re there, the garage door doesn’t open even when you input the right code.

There are two ways to fix this bug in Cyberpunk 2077:

  1. Use Remote Deactivation to open the door and bypass the bug. Deactivate it with a Quickhack and use a Cyberdeck to instantly unlock the door.
  2. After sparing Rinder, don’t go to the stash. Instead, wait a few days until he texts you and reminds you about it, then you can head back and retrieve the loot.

The first method will 100% work, and you’ll need to use a Cyberdeck to do the trick; otherwise, it won’t work. The second one may or may not work, as it has worked for many players while for others it has not. But it’s still worth a shot if you don’t want to swap your chrome for a Cyberdeck.

Addicted to Chaos is a Side Job in Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty in which players need to retrieve Leon Rinder’s stash and grab everything in it from Dogtown after sparing his life.

The Job can be started after you complete the Gig called The Man Who Killed Jason Foreman and spare Leon Rinder during the mission. Once you’ve done that, fast travel to Terra Cognita and head to the location marked on your map.

Once you’ve arrived at the garage, use the keypad on the left and input the code 1975 to unlock the door. If it’s not opening due to the bug, then follow any of the steps above to fix it and proceed.

2. What’s inside Leon Rinder’s stash?

Inside Leon Rinder’s stash, you’ll find a weapon case with the Double Barrel Power Shotgun Dezerter and a Tier 5 DS1 Pulsar. A crate on the right will reward you with some Tier 4 clothing inside.

The Dezerter is one of the most powerful shotguns in the game, so I’d say it’s a pretty good reward for a job that easy. Once you’ve grabbed all the weapons from Rinder’s stash, you’ll complete the job successfully.

3. About Cyberpunk 2077

Cyberpunk 2077 is a 2020 action role-playing video game developed by CD Projekt Red and published by CD Projekt, based on video game designer Mike Pondsmith’s game series.

Set in a dystopian cyberpunk universe, the player assumes the role of “V,” a mercenary in the fictional Californian city known as “Night City,” where they deal with the fallout from a heist gone wrong that results in an experimental cybernetic “bio-chip” containing an engram of the legendary rock star and terrorist Johnny Silverhand (played by Keanu Reeves) threatening to slowly overwrite V’s mind; as the story progresses V and Johnny must work together to find a way to be separated and save V’s life.
