The world of Elden Ring offers a plethora of weapon options for the Tarnished to pick from. Each weapon has its own style, advantages, and disadvantages. When it comes to fist-weapons, the good thing is that they can be spammed to deal damage rapidly in multiple attacks.
The Golem Fist is a fist-type weapon that was added to the game through the Erdtree expansion. This weapon is notorious for being a drop reward from fist golems. But the grind might be well worth it.
1. How to get the Golem Fist in Elden Ring?
The Golem Fist is a rare drop that can be obtained from slaying Golem Smiths. The best farm location for the Golem Fist is in the depths of Taylew’s Ruined Forge. The multiple golems there increase the drop rate.
The items which are rare drops can only be sought and not guaranteed. This is the case with the Golem Fist as well. When you kill a golem, the randomizer decides whether or not you’ve gotten lucky.
So how do we fix this? And make it so we do get the drop we want? (Golem Fist in this case). The best thing we can do, is to find a cluster of the drop monsters and farm them. The farm cluster for the Golem Fist is precisely Taylew’s Ruined Forge.
As a player who has reached the point of looking for the Golem’s Fist in Elden Ring’s Shadow Domain, you are likely not a newbie. This means that you might already have encountered the Ruined Forger during the expeditions of the Tarnished.
2. How to reach the Taylew’s Ruined Forge?
There are two ways to get to the Taylew’s Ruined Forge-
- Through the Ancient Ruins Base Site of Grace
- From the Moorth Ruins
2.1 Route From the Ancient Ruins Base
Teleport to the Ancient Ruins Base Site of Grace. From there, head in the northeast direction (you will be able to follow the road). There are a few enemies on the path- Feathered Beast-Men and human soldiers.
Ignore or defeat them to reach the end of the trail. At the very end you can see that there is an ancient structure with huge pillars and torches around it. They form an archway of sorts. Enter the archway and proceed inward to reach the Taylew’s Ruined Forge.
2.2 Route From the Moorth Ruins
Teleport to the Moorth Suins Site of Grace. Be aware that this route is longer than the earlier one. Head to the north-eastern part of the Moorth Ruins. This location is the one with the large underground tunnel. You will be able to spot it easily.
Follow the tunnel to the end. Follow the path it leads to, and there will be a second tunnel. Head northeast and enter the jungle region. Head north for a while, and you will be able to spot the Ruined Forge.
3. Finding Golem Smiths in ELden Ring DLC
Head into the Taylew’s Ruined Forge and proceed into the depths of the underground tunnels. You will have to continue along the path you see and cross the debris of a broken pillar to ascend to a higher level of the Forge.
After heading up, you will be able to see your first pair of golems. A tip for you when dealing with golem pairs is to agro both of them and go away from their range (it is not a lot of steps). The golems will attack each other and kill the one with a little HP left.
After you clear the chamber, head west and cross the archway to get to another suspended pillar. You can turn this pillar using the mechanism next to it. Make sure that the pillar doesn’t face the west.
If it does, then you need to change the position and then ascend the pillar. You will see your next pair of golems, the fist golem on the ground and the lava golem on the elevated platform.
You must remember that killing the lava golem will not net you any chances to obtain the Golem Fist. (Can’t drop what you don’t have, eh?) Always focus on the Fist Golem. Defeating them along the way is always a bonus, though.
So, that is the trick to farming the Golem Fist quickly. The Taylew’s Ruined Forge is your best bet to obtain this rare drop. Keep running the tunnel golems until you obtain the Golem Fist.
