How to Find, Farm and Use Nightflower Pollen in Monster Hunter Wilds

Nightflower Pollen is a highly sought-after material in Monster Hunter Wilds, because you can trade it for rewards like Gold Melding Tickets and Armor Spheres with Sekka in Suja, Peaks of Accord.

However, Ephemeral Blossoms, the source of Nightflower Pollen, only bloom under the light of a Full Moon. Harvesting them is like a hassle, but don’t worry – here’s a step-by-step guide on finding and farming Nightflower Pollen in Monster Hunter Wilds.

1. Where to find Nightflower Pollen in Monster Hunter Wilds?

To obtain Nightflower Pollen in Monster Hunter Wilds, you need to first harvest Ephemeral Blossoms during a Full Moon phase at Nighttime, found in either the Windward Plains or Scarlet Forest regions during the Fallow or Plenty seasons.

To collect Nightflower Pollen, rest until the evening before the Full Moon phase, then make sure to be outside during the transition from evening to nighttime. As the full moon rises, the Ephemeral Blossoms will bloom, and you can collect the Nightflower Pollen.

For Farming Nightflower Pollen, you need to know three things: the moon cycle in MH Wilds, the locations of the Ephemeral blossoms, and the right method to collect the Nightflower Pollen.

i. All Moon Phases in MH Wilds

Monster Hunter Wilds features a seven-phase moon cycle, without the New Moon phase.

The phases, in order, are:

  1. Waxing Crescent
  2. First Quarter
  3. Waxing Gibbous
  4. Full Moon
  5. Waning Gibbous
  6. Last Quarter
  7. Waning Crescent

Since the game doesn’t display the current moon phase in menus or maps, you’ll need to check the sky at nighttime to observe the moon’s phase. You can also rest at camp to advance the moon phase by one.

Finding Nightflower Pollen in Monster Hunter Wilds is a tedious task, but lucky for you, you don’t have to go hunting since you’re reading this.

Here are all the locations of Ephemeral Blossoms for you to harvest the Nightflower Pollen:

Location 1: Plains Region
Find the first Ephemeral Blossom near the exit to the Riverside Trail at area 10, just east of the river.

Location 2: Plains Region

  • Set up the Area 3 South Pop-Up Camp for easier access or set a waypoint to the Fulgurite Crystal marker northeast of the camp.
  • Travel to the marker using your Seikret and jump down the cliffs. Glide towards the Fulgurite Crystal marker to find the Ephemeral Blossom.

Location 3: Forest Region

  • In the southeastern corner of the area 17.
  • On top of the cliff leading down into area 14.

iii. Collecting Nightflower Pollen in MH Wilds

Speak to Alma to obtain the “A Leviathan’s Temper” side-quest, to access the Windward Plains during the evening with the environment set to “Plenty”.

  • Set the moon phase to Waxing Gibbous (the phase before Full Moon) and time to Evening.
  • Wait for the moon phase change to occur and quickly harvest the Ephemeral Blossom when Nighttime begins.
  • Travel to other Ephemeral Blossom locations and harvest them before Nighttime ends.

If you’re in High Rank, you can rest at a Base Camp or Pop-Up Camp to adjust the moon cycle and season. However, if you’re still in Low Rank, you’ll need to wait for in-game days to pass, which can take a while since each day lasts a full hour.

Once you’ve reached Chapter 5 of the main story, you can start farming Nightflower Pollen using this method.

  • First, set up pop-up camps in Area 3 (South) and Area 10 (Southeast) to easily travel between the two locations.
  • Then start the “Tempered Balahara” quest through Alma, which will trigger the bloom cycle of the Ephemeral Blossoms.
  • Head to the blossom locations and collect the Nightflower Pollen. Gather pollen from the Area 3 blossom first, as it requires more effort to access.
  • Use the in-game fast-travel system to quickly return to camp after collecting the pollen.
  • After collecting the pollen, abandon the quest and return to camp to restart it, allowing you to farm the pollen in roughly two minutes per run.

With this method, you can harvest around 40-60 Nightflower Pollen per hour.

  • You can trade the Nightflower Pollen for Gold Tickets and use them for crafting high-end Artian Jewels and Relics.
  • For this, simply talk to Sekka in Suja, Peaks of Accord, and select the option to trade your Nightflower Pollen for Gold Melding Tickets or Gold Relic Tickets.
  • Each ticket requires a specific amount of pollen. If you don’t see the tickets you need, try resting at your tent to advance time and checking again.
