How to evolve Bisharp in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet?

You can finally get your hands on the third evolution form of your beloved samurai Pokemon, Bisharp, in Scarlet and Violet.

Bisharp evolves into Kingambit, a Dark-Steel type Pokemon with a whopping 550 power. However, the path to obtaining this Pokemon is not easy.

Bisharp doesn’t evolve through regular evolution methods, like leveling up. To evolve a Bisharp, you need to beat 3 Bisharps with a Leader’s Crest. As expected of a Pokemon who is all about winning a battle through pure brute strength!

Check out this guide to evolve your Bisharp into the mighty and strong Kingambit!

How to catch a Bisharp?

There are two ways to get a Bisharp in Scarlet and Violet. The first method involves catching a Pawniard and evolving it into a Bisharp. This method is quite time-consuming, though.

Pawniard is found near riverbanks between Mesagoza and Artazon, in the South and East Province of Paldea. Raise Pawniard to level 52 to evolve it into a Bisharp.

The other method of getting a Bisharp is catching it in the bamboo groves of Paldea. These groves can be found in North Province Area Two.

How to evolve Bisharp into Kingambit?

To evolve your Bisharp into Kingambit, you need to give a Leader’s Crest to your Bisharp first. You can do this by catching a Bisharp with a Leader’s Crest, or stealing the item from another Bisharp using the Thief ability.

You can find a Leader’s Crest on Bisharps surrounded by their own army of Pawniard. Only these Bisharps have a Leader’s Crest; you won’t find them on other regular ones.

Once you have armed your Bisharp with a Leader’s Crest, you need to beat three other Bisharps with a Leader’s Crest.

Fighting, Fire, and Ground-type attacks are extremely effective on Bisharp, so make sure to teach your Bisharp the moves of these types. Brick Break is an excellent Fighting-type move you can teach your Bisharp.

Kingambit Base Stats

Kingambit makes up for its slow Speed stat with a high Attack and Defense base stat. You can give your Kingambit a held item such as Choice Scarf to boost its Speed
