Traversing Enshrouded’s sprawling continent of Embervale requires a lot of walking, but it can be made much easier with a glider. Using it, you can explore new areas, complete quests, and search for resources without ever worrying about walking.
You’ll need to craft the glider first to use it, and that can be done pretty early in the game. But make sure you have a Workbench crafted back in your home at Embervale before going for the glider.
1. How to craft the Glider in Enshrouded?
To craft the glider in Enshrouded, players need the following items for the recipe:
- 8x Shroud Wood
- 2x Animal Furs
- 2x Strings
- 2x Shroud Spores
Once you’ve collected all these materials, head to your workbench and start crafting. This glider isn’t that bad considering new and improved ones can be crafted later. It serves its purpose gracefully, letting you traverse great heights with ease.
2. How to find Shroud Wood in Enshrouded?
Shroud Wood can be found by chopping down trees in Shrouded areas. These areas are surrounded by a blue-greyish mist, so they aren’t very hard to recognize, but they do contain fewer trees than a normal forest.
Equip your axe and chop down the tree once you’ve found one, and you’ll receive around two to six pieces of Shroud Wood. It’s not much, but it’s just what you need to get the glider crafted.
3. How to find Animal Fur in Enshrouded?
Animal Fur can be obtained by defeating various different animals, like goats, rabbits, and wolves. Keep an eye out for these animals and kill them whenever you get a chance to obtain their fur.
As you keep exploring, you’ll encounter more and more of these animals, so you won’t have any difficulty finding Animal Fur to create your glider.
4. How to find String in Enshrouded?
String can be crafted using plant fibers. These plant fibers are very easy to find, as they can be harvested from pretty much any small bushes and plants that players come across in the expansive world.
With each harvest, you get around three plant fibers and that’s exactly what you need to craft a string (no workbench necessary). Alternatively, string can also be found in the world by destroying items like barrels and chests, but that doesn’t guarantee it.
5. How to find Shroud Spores in Enshrouded?
Shroud Spores can be obtained by defeating enemies that have succumbed to the poisonous Shroud. They appear either in or around the Shroud itself, and these areas are marked by bluish spots on the map.
Killing any of these Shroud enemies will get you Spores. Remember, you can only explore the Shrouded areas for five minutes due to the fog being poisonous, so make the most of it and kill as many enemies as possible.
