Dragon Balls are one of the most coveted items in the Dragon Ball franchise. Every character in the Dragon Ball universe, including the villains, wishes to possess this item.
In Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, you can boost your character stats, and unlock new characters and items by using 7 Dragon Balls to make a wish. To make a wish, you must summon Shenron at the Dragon Ball Pedestal.
To acquire Dragon Balls easily and quickly, you just need to defeat AI Time Patrollers in Conton City. They will have a blue exclamation mark on the top of their heads. Challenge them, fight them and they will drop a guaranteed ‘key item’ which is usually a Dragon Ball.
AI Time Patrollers either pop up as random NPCs in the city or appear in certain Parallel Quests.
3 easy ways to farm for Dragon Balls
It’s always advisable to start farming for Dragon Balls when you reach a higher level. But you can still use the following methods at any level to obtain Dragon Balls.
Method 1: Beat Sanud in Conton City
You can find Sanud, a short brown-haired Time Patroller, near Orange Star High School after you finish you create a new character and finish your first story quest. She will challenge you to a fight and after beating her, there’s a 100 percent chance of obtaining a four-star Dragon Ball as a drop.
You can simply delete your character and do the story quest again to get more dragon balls from her.
Method 2: Beat Ganto
Ganto is an elite Time Patroller who can be found near Whis’s location, somewhere between Hercule’s House and Guru’s House. Once you beat Ganto, you have a 100 percent chance of obtaining a Dragon Ball as well.
To farm even more Dragon Balls from him, you just need to delete your character and challenge him again, just like you did with Sanud.
Method 3: Replay Parallel Quest 23
The time-tested method to farm for Dragon Balls quickly and efficiently is by redoing Parallel Quest 23 ‘The Explosion of Namek’. This quest won’t be accessible to you unless you finish the Frieza Saga.
Firstly, you will have to defeat Frieza. After beating him, three Time Patrollers will pop up, who will drop a Dragon Ball once you beat them. If they don’t drop a ‘Key Item’ aka the Dragon Ball, simply restart the quest.
