How long does it take to complete the FNAF Security Breach: Ruin DLC?

The free DLC expansion for Five Nights at Freddy’s Security Breach called Ruin has finally been released after months of speculation, waiting, and anticipation. The game follows Gregory’s best friend Cassie as she makes her way through the eerie Pizzaplex to rescue Gregory from what lies within.

The gameplay is similar to the base game, only this time there are no hiding spots, so you’ll only be able to use stealth to hide from the sinister threats lurking in the now-dilapidated Pizzaplex. Now that that’s out of the way, let’s get into how long it takes to beat the Ruin DLC expansion.

It takes around 2-3 hours to complete the Five Nights at Freddy’s Security Breach: Ruin DLC. Playtime will differ from player to player depending on how they play, as players that speedrun through the DLC will finish it quicker than players that explore everything it has to offer.

Considering the fact that the base game’s main story completion time was around 10 hours, Ruin’s completion time isn’t bad at all for a DLC, and it not only adds a lot to the base game’s lore but to the Five Nights at Freddy’s lore as well.

I. How many endings does the Five Nights at Freddy’s Security Breach: Ruin DLC have?

Five Nights at Freddy’s Security Breach: Ruin has a total of three different endings:

  1. Normal / Elevator Ending
  2. Fazbear / Outside Ending
  3. The Scooper Ending (Secret Ending)
  • Normal / Elevator Ending

The Normal / Elevator Ending – Five Nights at Freddy’s Security Breach: Ruin

This ending involves Cassie escaping the rogue animatronic Mimic, who’s chasing her, using an elevator. She successfully manages to make it onto the elevator and escape the reaches of the Mimic.

On the elevator, Gregory explains on the radio that she “shouldn’t have entered the Pizzaplex” as something tricked her into doing so and she freed something long trapped in the ruin. He then cuts the elevator line because “we can’t risk being followed”, causing the elevator to fall and trapping Cassie inside.

Cassie’s fate is left ambiguous as the credits roll after the elevator line is cut. But during the credits, Glamrock Roxy calls out Cassie’s name, hinting that she might still be alive.

  • Fazbear / Outside Ending

The Fazbear / Outside Ending – Five Nights at Freddy’s Security Breach: Ruin

In this ending, Cassie puts on a Vanny Mask and sees an animation of Gregory, toy Freddy, and Vanessa having ice cream together and chilling outside. Gregory tells her that he’s found a place to hide.

This ending is a bit abrupt, but many fans speculate that Cassie couldn’t escape and became trapped forever inside the Pizzaplex as Glitchtrap infected her. The case could be different, but nothing is confirmed, as this is pure speculation and theory.

  • The Scooper Ending (Secret Ending)

The Scooper Ending – Five Nights at Freddy’s Security Breach: Ruin

In this ending, Cassie runs towards a scooper room instead of going to the elevator and closes the door. After that, the Mimic attacks the window, but she presses a button that causes the Mimic to be scooped up by the machine and seemingly get killed.

This ending is interpreted as the good ending by a lot of players, but it’s still unclear what happens to Cassie after she kills the Mimic.
