Neon has finally revealed the official trailer for It Lives Inside. Watch the trailer below –

In the trailer, we see Sam and Tamira, two Indian friends at school. Tamira starts acting weird and says “It lives inside” before breaking a jar. This releases “the Pishach”, a demon that drives people crazy and then eats their soul.

The director of It Lives Inside is Bishal Dutta, who also co-wrote the story with Ashish Mehta. This is his first feature film. The main actor is Megan Suri, who has appeared in The MisEducation of Bindu and Never Have I Ever on Netflix.

She is joined by Neeru Bajwa, Mohana Krishnan, Vik Sahay, and Betty Gabriel. The movie has the same name as another 2018 horror film about demons, but It Lives Inside is different because it explores Indian culture and spirituality.

In the film, Sam simultaneously tries to find and fight her own ethnic identity, a thought line that is inspired by Dutta’s own struggles while adjusting to life in the United States.

Based on the trailer, the result is plenty of panic-inducing imagery that is bound to put any horror enthusiast on edge. It Lives Inside’s release date has yet to be announced, though it is expected to debut sometime this fall.
