Hugh Jackman is working on his famous Wolverine run in a new Deadpool 3 training video posted on social media. Deadpool 3 will come out in 2024, and it will be the first time the actor will play Wolverine in seven years after 2017’s Logan.
That movie was supposed to be Jackman’s final time as Wolverine. However, Ryan Reynolds persuaded his friend to return as Wolverine in Deadpool 3.
Since Jackman’s comeback announcement last September, both actors have been busy preparing for Deadpool 3.
Jackman posted a new training video of himself running like his Marvel character on Twitter, with the fitting caption “#becomingwolverineagain.”
The actor has used social media quite frequently in the past for his Deadpool 3 Wolverine workout updates.
Jackman has been posting updates from his Wolverine training for Deadpool 3 on social media ever since the announcement of the cast.
His hard workout routines on social media makes us wonder how much the training for Deadpool 3 will affect Jackman’s possible future as Wolverine after the movie!
At 54, Jackman’s comeback as Wolverine for Deadpool 3 shows how much the character matters to the actor.
He first played the Marvel mutant in 2000’s X-Men, then appeared in different X-Men movies, a solo trilogy, and now an adventure in the Marvel Cinematic Universe with Deadpool 3.
When Jackman returns next year as Wolverine, the actor will have played the character for 24 years. An incredible milestone!
However, the actor is getting older, and The MCU will soon release projects with their own versions of the Marvel characters.
Before joining Deadpool 3, Jackman said he wanted to appear in the MCU with the Avengers.
With him having a role in the MCU-based Deadpool 3, the actor could certainly appear in any of the two multiverse-focused Avengers movies coming soon — The Kang Dynasty and Secret Wars.
While Jackman could maybe achieve his Avengers dream shortly, it’s unclear for how long he can keep portraying the character as he is getting old.
