Helck and Vermilio throw a party in the village in episode 6 of Helck titled “Invasion.”

The chief of the village pranks Vermilio as part of welcoming her into their town. After some celebration and drinks, he reveals the existence of the Great Witch atop the mountain. She will come down in a day or two, and Vermilio can ask her for help.

Meanwhile, The Demon Realm is being invaded by multiple squads of Winged Knights. Hyura and the others are forced to retreat but receive reinforcements in the nick of time.

2. Episode 7 Speculation

Azudra has managed to capture all the Winged Knights using his tree manipulation, so he will probably kill them all now. The main focus of the next episode will be the Great Witch since she will step down from the mountain to visit the village.

Vermilio will ask her for directions to the Demonic Continent and may also request her help against the humans. The Human King controls the Knights, so the best way to beat them may be by killing the King himself.

The Great Witch will probably tell them that instead of returning to the Demonic Continent, it would be better to find and kill the King directly.

3. Recap of Episode 6

A mysterious stranger invites Helck and Vermilio into the forest, where a massive group of cloaked monsters ambushes them. Before Helck can attack, they all remove their cloaks and reveal the prank. They’re just ordinary villagers doing their best to welcome Vermilio to their town.

The chief tells her that the Great Witch would come down from her mountain in a day or two, and she would know the Demonic Continent’s directions. Later in the day, Vermilio asks Helck why he saved her when she was sucked into the portal.

He says he only saved her because they’re friends and tells her the story of the Winged Knight’s commander, his old partner. Helck has realized that under the current Human King’s rule, the species has gone too far and needs to be erased.

Hyura and the rest of the team run into another squadron of Winged Knights led by highly awakened humans. The demons receive reinforcements from management and lure the knights to a different arena. The knights are too arrogant to notice the trap, and Azudra walks out to the field wearing a mask.

Lord Azudra is wearing a mask so his allies wouldn’t have to see his angry side and even offers to let the humans retreat. The Commanders refuse to run away from a single demon, and Azudra is forced to fight.

The ground beneath them cracks open, and multiple giant trees emerge, grabbing all the Knights. Within a second, all of them are trapped by the trunks, and Azudra is the only one left standing. He reveals his identity as one of the Four Elite Lords.

Helck is a manga series written and illustrated by Nanaki Nanao. It was serialized online on Shogakukan’s Ura Sunday Website and MangaONE app from May 2014 to December 2017. It has been collected into 12 volumes.

A short spin-off manga titled Piwi: Fushigi na Ikimono was also released in 2018, with its chapters collected in one volume. Another prequel manga series, titled Völundio: Divergent Sword Saga is currently ongoing since its launch in August 2020.
