In his message to Lucifer, he expresses his dismay over the current state of the Demon Lord. Ashiya blames Urushihara for being an economic burden on others after he became a NEET in modern Japan.

Ashiya has to work hard to handle everything on his own since his father refuses to assist him in any household chores, which is frustrating. Satan politely asks Ashiya to stop scolding Lucifer. He persists in ranting about barley tea.

Satan accidentally hurts Emi by opening the door while standing next to it. Emi refutes Ashiya’s suggestion that she was listening to their conversation all along as a ridiculous claim without any basis in reality.

Satan becomes angry when she keeps referring to her air conditioning room and says she should stop mocking his poverty.

Chiho admires Satan’s new bicycle later that day at work. A whopping 30,000 yen had been paid for it by Suzuno because she accidentally destroyed it.

Suzuno tells Emi that she should be careful with her finances since she just arrived in Japan. Emi is shocked when she hears this. A pawn shop in the area later explained to Suzuno that she acquired the money by selling the ritual implements from the Church of Ente Isla.

She suspects Lord Archangel Sariel might be trying to take the holy sword from Japan when she feels strangely watched. Assassins from Ente Isla may have reached Japan again, or assassins from Ente Isla may be trying to capture the holy sword.  However, Suzuno does not agree.

Sariel has gained a lot of weight since arriving in Japan due to his poor eating habits. Ashiya entrusts Urushihara with a number of household chores while Sadao is at work.

Urushihara’s screams alert Sadao just as he is about to reach his home later that evening. He runs to his apartment to find a cockroach scaring his friend.

Sadao ends up panicking when it accidentally falls on his hands. As a result, Suzuno kills the insect using her hammer, ending the dramatic commotion. A portal appears in the sky while everyone is gathered outside around a bonfire discussing mundane issues.

The Demon Lord gets angry and reminds Emi that she is the one stalking Sadao when she comments that such anomalies always occur around him.

Sadao and his friends steer clear of the portal after it opens in the sky, anticipating what is about to happen. A gigantic apple falls to the ground in a few seconds, closing the portal.

Soon, Emi attacks Sadao because of his disparaging comments. The weapon is caught by hands protruding from the apple that fell out of the sky before Sadao has time to react. He closes his eyes instinctively as he has little time to react. Immediately, a young girl emerges, introducing herself as Alas Ramus.

The fact that she claims Sadao and Emi are her parents leaves everyone in a state of shock, regardless of the fact that she knows very little about them. The couple continues to deny that they are Alas’s family, but Alas believes they are.

In the upcoming episodes, Sadao and Emi will be forced to put aside their rivalry to co-parent Alas Ramus, despite the fact she is not related to them.

The Devil Is a Part-Timer! is a Japanese light novel series written by Satoshi Wagahara, with illustrations by Oniku (written as 029). ASCII Media Works has published the series in Japan, while Yen Press has published the series in North America.

The story revolves around the Demon Lord Satan after he is stuck in the human world. Satan loses against the hero Emilia in his homeworld Ente Isla. He then takes one of his subordinates – Alciel and transports himself to the human world, where he is left powerless due to the lack of magic.

Both Satan and Alciel take human forms, and Satan takes up a part-time job at a fast-food restaurant to earn a living. Things get even more complicated once Emilia arrives under the guise of a human named Emi Yusa. This light-hearted comedy explores the interactions of “evil” and “good.”
