Leaks Suggest that Halo Infinite Might be a 100 GB Title

Halo Infinite is undoubtedly one of the most anticipated titles around the corner in a year that’s seen more delays than releases.

Fans got a taste of the game with developer 343 Industries’ recently concluded tech preview, and they are clamoring for more.

Another update about the game has surfaced for those clamoring, but it may bring more worry than joy. According to a leaked image of the game’s Xbox store listing, Halo Infinite will come in at a whopping 97.24 GB.

This file size puts the game in the league of storage hogs like Red Dead Redemption 2, Call of Duty: BlackOps Cold War, and Call of Duty: Warzone.

It’s worth noting that the leaked image does not mention any specific platform. So, while the game may come in heavy for the Xbox Series X, it could be lighter for the Xbox Series S and the Xbox One range. Additionally, the file size for PC may vary too.

Neither 343 nor Microsoft has confirmed the listing yet, so you should take this update with a grain of salt. However, as mentioned above, file sizes in this range are not unheard of with modern games, so Halo fans should prepare for the same.

No official release date has been announced for Halo Infinite yet, but if the information in the leaked image is accurate, a release date should come sooner rather than later.

Historically speaking, when entities like PEGI or ESRB rate a game, it means that the game is close to release. So, while most rumors predict a November release, we might get the game even sooner.

Speaking of rumors, there are quite a few of those floating about for Halo Infinite. Recent data mines say that the game might come with a Battle Royale feature, while leaks on Reddit claim that many fan-requested features will find their way back to the game.

It’s only a matter of time until we find out which of these will come true, but frankly, the game having good performance stats across all platforms is what matters the most.
