Maggie moving to Chicago was unavoidable, but apparently, another doctor is leaving Grey Sloan Hospital. Jeez, they’re dropping like flies! Even though Maggie and Owen have a passionate night, the two are at their career highs and can’t help but choose work over love.
Bailey is forced to move after the threat to her family. Kai also intends to leave Grey, which Amelia takes with a pinch of salt, and Link & Jo split up too – so all in all not a good week for Grey’s Anatomy couples. What can we expect in next week’s episode?
1. Episode 16 Synopsis/Speculation
Amelia takes her personal problems out on her work colleagues, and the threats against Bailey come to a terrifying head. Lucas and Jules make a risky decision on a patient, and Mika struggles with burnout.
Maggie has exited, and Kai is ready to walk out, leaving behind a flourishing Owen and a disgruntled Amelia. Owen is at a high in his career at Grey Sloan, so while I think he will miss his wife, he’ll be okay. But I can’t say the same for Amelia.
She tries to get Kai to stay, even imploring the senior doctors to give him better opportunities in Seattle, but Kai sees it as a way to keep them here without being happy about their success.
Amelia will take out her frustration on her colleagues, so someone’s due to call her out on it and set her straight. But not before some much-needed drama – at this point, I’m a junky, needing a fresh does each week.
Jo and Link’s romantic situation is not going well either. Jo’s cheery attitude to uplift Link’s mood doesn’t sit well with her, and his failed attempt at a confession might be pulling the brakes on their budding love story.
Bailey’s situation keeps getting worse, and the danger will be at an all-time high next week. The threats aren’t scaring her off, so the anti-choice protestors might take a drastic step for her to step back, which spells massive trouble in the next episode.
A test is coming Jules and Lucas’ way, but I’m more concerned for Mika, who is close to burning out with her two demanding jobs and huge debts yet to be paid off. What’s going to happen in the next episode of Grey’s Anatomy? We’ll just have to wait and see.

Meanwhile, Bailey and her family temporarily leave their house when someone sends her a picture of Tuck leaving school, hinting at their worsening situation.
