Grand Theft Auto Online introduces three new police vehicles for purchase

Summary:

  • Developers Rockstar Games have introduced three new police vehicles that are now purchasable in GTA Online.
  • To make the vehicles available for purchase, players must fulfill some hefty criteria specific to each vehicle.
  • After unlocking the vehicles, they can be purchased or traded at Warstock Cache & Carry.

As per the reveal trailer of GTA VI, the launch window of 2025 is still over a year away. As a result, developers of Rockstar Games continue to push out new updates and changes to GTA Online, a part of Grand Theft Auto V.

Rockstar Games announced that Grand Theft Auto Online will allow players to purchase three police vehicles from Warstock Cache & Carry. The three vehicles, namely the Stanier LE Cruiser, the Unmarked Cruiser, and the Police Riot, are available for purchase in-game after meeting criteria specific to each car.

This unprecedented move has caused a wave of joy amidst the GTA fanbase. Players can now own police vehicles instead of robbing them and driving around with a two-star wanted level, as was the norm.

However, players must remember that Rockstar will not let them have it so quickly. Specific criteria must be fulfilled before the vehicles even become available.

For the Stanier LE Cruiser, players must survive a 3-star or Wanted level for at least 5 minutes. On completion, the vehicle becomes available for purchase at USD 4 million or a trade price of USD 3,517,500.

Coming to the Unmarked Cruiser, players must scope out Mission Row as a part of the Gangbanger Robbery. This makes the vehicle available for purchase at USD 3.9 million or a trade price of USD 2,962,500.

Finally, the most esteemed and arguably the toughest to acquire Police Riot will be available for purchase after players lose a four or 5-Star Wanted level naturally. This will make the vehicle available for sale at USD 4.8 million or a trade price of USD 3.6 million.

Rockstar had yet to make things easy for the players. As a result, players will have to grind quite a bit to acquire these vehicles. The easiest to achieve will be the Stanier LE Cruiser, as seasoned players easily stay at 3-star Wanted levels for more than five minutes.

It will be interesting to see how players in GTA Online use the new Police vehicles, especially the Police Riot, to wreak havoc in-game and strategically use them for heists and other missions.
