SPOILERS AHEAD! This page contains spoilers from Golden Kamuy.

1.  What happened in S4 Ep7 of Golden Kamuy? How did it end?

Tsurumi’s plan was to separate Asirpa and Sugimoto and lock her up until he got the gold. As soon as Asirpa laid eyes on Tsurumi, she knew something was up, and she was not feeling his vibe at all. The dude started leaking that weird brain fluid! Super gross.

Asirpa wasn’t having any of that, and she made a run for it with Sugimoto right by her side. Sugimoto was shot a few times when they were on the run, but that didn’t stop him.

In Episode 7 of Golden Kamuy’s 4th season, Asirpa and Sugimoto escaped on a horse, but Tsurumi and his men were hot on their trail. Luckily, they slipped past by sailing the ferry straight at the ice floes. It was a close call, but they made it out alive.

Throughout all of this, Asirpa and Sugimoto’s relationship has grown stronger. They’re both on a mission to find the gold, but Asirpa’s also determined to protect her people.

And even though Sugimoto knows that this path will be more challenging, he believes in Asirpa and her cause.

And to top it all off, Ogata managed to steal a dead soldier’s uniform and gun and then tricked the ferry captain with some sob story. That guy never fails to amaze me.

They encountered a sniper seeking revenge on Ogata for killing his comrades, which led to a confrontation. Meanwhile, Kadokura and Kirawus searched for Ushiyama and Hijikata but were hindered by Sekiya’s toxic traps.

Ushiyama regained consciousness and saved a young Ainu boy. Sekiya kidnapped Hijikata and challenged Kadokura to a deadly game of Russian roulette using poison-filled silkworm cocoons. Kadokura survived and retrieved Sekiya’s tattooed skin.

On another front, Nikaido, Usami, Kikuta, and Ariko investigated sightings of a suspicious stranger and confronted Toni’s group, leading to a gunfight in an abandoned mine. Toni was killed, and Ariko took his tattooed skin.

In a flashback, Tsurumi and Koito met in Kagoshima and developed a friendship. Koito was later kidnapped, and Tsurumi rescued him from Russian captors. Koito joined Tsurumi in the 7th Division and suspected Tsurumi’s involvement in General Hanazawa’s death.

Sugimoto received news of Tsurumi’s impending arrival in Toyohara.

Tsukishima and a Russian observer surveilled Sugimoto and Asirpa.

A cinematographer captured Asirpa’s rituals but was attacked by a wolverine. Sugimoto and Asirpa killed the wolverine, and Asirpa contemplated the implications of her Ainu heritage.
