Girlfriend, Girlfriend also known as KanoKano for short, is a Japanese romantic comedy manga series written and illustrated by Hiroyuki. Due to its unique plot and great comedy, the manga has gained a lot of popularity among manga readers and has been adapted into an anime series that premiered in July 2021.
The anime ran for 12 episodes, the manga is currently on its 14th volume, and we have some good and bad news for the manga fans of the series.
On Wednesday, the 19th issue of Kodansha’s Weekly Shonen Magazine revealed that Hiroyuki’s Girlfriend, Girlfriend (Kanojo mo Kanojo) manga will conclude in four chapters. The magazine also announced that the manga will take a break in the next issue, which will be released on April 19. In March, the magazine announced that the manga had reached its “final conflict.”
While some fans might be sad that their beloved series is coming to an end, personally, I think it’s really exciting to see how the series ends, whether it’s a happy ending or a bittersweet one. Well, we’ll have to wait to see for ourselves.
Side note: I don’t want the series to end, as it is one of the best rom com manga out there.
