Gigabyte announces exclusive RTX 4070 Korea Edition just before launch

Custom editions for the RTX 4070 had their designs leaked just days ago. One of the manufacturers and board partners was Gigabyte which showcased one more RTX 4070 custom variant.

The new custom variant is a Korea Exclusive, named the Korea Edition – a custom design equipped with WindForce 3X cooling technology. It has vibrant Korean characters on the front plate, fan stickers, and a backplate with the GIGABYTE logo illuminated by ARGB LEDs.

Buyers must however keep in mind that this Korea Edition OC will use WindForce 3X cooling but the Korean design doesn’t match any of the existing triple-fan models from Gigabyte. It doesn’t have the same design as the card called “WindForce.”

As per the specs on the manufacturer’s website, this RTX 4070 Korea Edition will be factory overclocked to 2565MHz. This will be 90MHz higher than the Nvidia specs.

It is also going to use 3 slot cooling design. The central fan rotates clockwise while either fan to its side rotates anti-clockwise. This ensures optimum cooling, with the fans automatically stopping once the temperature of the card is optimal.

The GIGABYTE on the side is illuminated by an RGB. It boasts eight modes with colors available for choice via an RGB wheel. It comes with a power indicator and graphene nano-lubricant to increase fan life.

Everything can be modified, right from the color to the performance as well as the fans via Gigabyte’s very own “Control Center”. It has dual bios and 12 GB of GDDR6X 192-bit memory.

A modern 16-pin power connector will ship with the card. The card measures 30cm x 13.0 cm x 5.76cm (LxBxH). Gigabyte will be bundling dual 8-pin to one 16-pin power adapter with the card.

It is understood that this custom card is set to cost a lot more than Nvidia’s MSRP of $699. Retailing with only two partners, the availability will be limited and is expected to be more of a collector’s edition.
