Genshin Impact has caused tsunamis in the gaming industry. From making $100 million within a few weeks to being the highest-grossing app on Apple, Genshin Impact is the embodiment of success. However, one issue remains, it is of Resin distribution.
For the unaware, Resin is an in-game resource that helps players with end-game activities. It is one of the most important mechanics of the game.
The problem arises with its allocation. It is a resource that recharges itself after a duration of real-world time. One will have to wait for 8 minutes to get one Resin.
Moreover, there’s a limit to the amount of Resin you can cap. Now a lot of activities like the boss fights in the game require you to spend Resins.
The complication here is that players have to wait for hours to accumulate these resources to the fullest.
However, when it comes to the spending part, all it takes is mere minutes to be deprived of Resins. Thus all the pros were suffering here. All that they had built so far was lost within moments.
A lot of fans were sullen with this mechanic and consequently, developers did provide the game with a much-desired upcoming update.
Previously, the game enabled players to carry 120 Resins. But now thanks to the new update, this range has been lifted to 160. Also, instead of 1200, you’ll need 1600 Original Resins to finish the weekly battle pass challenge.
There is no denying the fact that refinements have been made under the new update but many committed players feel that this isn’t enough.
Casual gamers, on the other hand, are more than ecstatic about this move. A higher cap will favor those players better who play the game nonchalantly.
“It resolves time issues for me as a player who doesn’t want to feel bullied by a game into daily long or double play sessions by being punished in the battle pass if i don’t. It doesn’t help people that play often and want more resin to spend and I hope they get an improvement, too, but to me this small change does make the game more appealing.”
