Genshin Impact has seven nations, each with a symbolic element and an Archon region protector. The current Sumeru storyline features Dendro Archon Nahida’s pursuits to safeguard her nation from villains. Recent leaks have revealed some of the upcoming playable characters who will hail from the Teyvat region.
A new post on the Chinese forum named Baidu Tieba featured a few in-game images of three different Fontaine characters. Although not much has been revealed about these characters, players can get a vague idea about what to expect in the upcoming updates of Genshin Impact.
The character model featured is rumored to be that of Neuvillette. He has been mentioned by Nahida in the past. Neuvillette is the Chief of Justice of Fontaine, so he will have an important role in the main storyline. Players can expect his character to be similar to Jean, the Acting Grandmaster in Mondstadt, and Ningguang, The Tianquan of the Liyue Qixing.
The other two images have censored out the characters’ faces, but they seem to be the popular sibling duo Lyney and Lynette. They were first spotted in a Genshin Impact story teaser, released back in 2020.
Lyney is a young male character with violet eyes and pale skin, donning his signature hat and black cape. He will be a five-star bow user specializing in the Pyro element whereas his sister is expected to be an Anemo sword user with a four-star rarity.
The release of the Fontaine region is still months away, so it will be a while before we get to see these characters in action. The upcoming Genshin Impact version 3.7 will feature a new character named Charlotte. She belongs to Fontaine and is expected to join the playable roster after the region is unlocked.
