New Gameplay and Screenshots for Lost Judgment Revealed

Sega and Ryu Ga Gotaku Studio’s detective thriller Lost Judgment is a little over a month away, and more info about the game is coming to light as we approach release day.

The sequel to 2019’s Judgment will see the continuation of Takayuki Yagami’s adventures in Ijincho, where fans will get to meet new characters and enjoy significant offerings of new content.

Sega recently revealed a little more about these new offerings in a new gameplay video that you can watch below.

Judgment was quite heavy on side cases and mini-games that had comical or heartwarming elements to them, and it feels its follow-up will keep that formula going.

Screenshots revealed that one such side case would involve a kind teacher with a history of anger management issues. Another involves Yagami and his buddy Kaito watching over a young boy on his first errand, shopping alone.

Fans can also expect dating prospects in Lost Judgment. One screenshot introduced Emily S. Mochizuki, a 24-year-old woman from England who works at a bar called Girls Bite. Emily will be a dateable NPC and will find herself involved in a case Yagami is investigating, eventually leading to her being in danger.

Once Yagami becomes romantically involved with Emily, players can increase the relationship values between them through conversation, walks around the city, or by playing against her in any of Lost Judgment’s minigames.

If she becomes Yagami’s girlfriend, she can support him in battle with a unique EX-Action or cheering him on to restore his EX gauge.

Finally, the screenshots also revealed the Master System Games that will feature in Lost Judgment. There are eight games in total, giving fans a lot to choose from if they need a fun distraction from the game’s main story.

It’s pretty evident that Lost Judgment will have no shortage of content for players to enjoy. If you still haven’t played Judgment, the precursor to this title, we would highly recommend it, especially if you are a fan of the Yakuza series.

Lost Judgment drops on September 24 for PS4|5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
