Strike the Blood’s Creator Gakuto Mikumo Publishes New Online Novel

Strike the Blood is the typical demon-filled fantasy anime with some fantastic visuals and characters that you can’t help but love. All the credit for the story being so engaging and worthwhile obviously goes to its creator, Gakuto Mikumo.

We all thought that this was Mikumo’s finest work and that nothing would be able to top that, but we were wrong. Mikumo recently started working on another novel series, and it seems like one that will exceed our expectations.

The official Twitter handle of Kadokawa’s Dengeki Bunko Imprint has revealed that Gakuto Mikumo has launched a new novel titled ‘Sword of Stallion.’ Yen Press has licensed the series and will publish it in English.

“Sword of Stallion

“The strongest knight, known as a stallion, is ordered to cuckold the princess of a neighboring country.”

On a planet inhabited by monsters, the princess and the knight

Challenge a political marriage that puts the nation on the line!

English Translation, Twitter Translate

The story runs on the same theme as Strike the Blood: monsters and other atrocities. It follows a princess and a knight on a planet inhabited by monsters and magical beasts.

Dengeki Bunko further states the plot is a political one rather than action-filled. It says that the princess and the knight challenge a political marriage that puts the nation’s survival at stake.

This dynamic is much similar to Kojo and Yukina’s relationship in Strike the Blood, as the two become unwilling allies in order to survive. The princess and knight might be forced into a marriage they’re against and will have to cooperate to get out of this situation.

Given that Strike the Blood is a harem and has ecchi themes in it, Sword of Stallion might have the same, so be prepared for that.

Yen Press will soon reveal more information regarding the novel’s release in English.

About Strike the Blood

Written by Gakuto Mikumo and Illustrated by Manayako, this story was adapted into a manga thrice. It was picked up for an animated adaptation and has been on Animax Asia since.

Kojou Akatsuki’s days as an ordinary high school student in the Demon District of Itogami Island come to an abrupt end after a fateful encounter leaves him with the remarkable abilities of a vampire.

It isn’t long before he is thrust into the center of attention when it is discovered that he is the fourth primogenitor, an immensely powerful vampire whom most consider being merely a legend.
