Everything seems to be falling in place for Funimation this year. The latest is that they have secured rights for one of the most anticipated anime titles for the upcoming season and the newest addition to the Love Live! franchise.
From new expansions to streaming rights for popular movies, they are doing it all. They had already secured rights for several popular titles for the upcoming Summer 2021 season. These include anime original titles like Madhouse’s Sonny Boy and Mappa’s RE-MAIN.
Their ever-widening catalog just does not seem to end, and it’s about to get even bigger with the recent additions.
Funimation has announced that it will exclusively stream The Detective is Already Dead and Love Live! Superstar!!.
Love Live! Superstar!! is a story about Yuigaoka Girls High School, a newly established school where five girls dream of becoming idols. Without any alumni, upperclassmen, or any reputation, the girls aim to make it big out of the unknown.
The anime makes its debut on 11th July 2021.
Like any other anime from Love Live! Franchise, this is very much for the people with that acquired taste. If you are a fan, definitely go for it.
The Detective is Already Dead anime is set to premiere on 4th July 2021.
This is a mystery-filled rom-com where the protagonist has to come to terms with the death of his partner. For any rom-com or mystery fan, this is a must-watch.
Sorry to say but your choices just got tougher. Choose wisely or prepare to perish!
About The Detective Is Already Dead
Written by Nigojū and Umibōzu, The Detective Is Already Dead (Tantei wa Mō, Shindeiru) is a light novel series that follows Kimihiko Kimizuka, a third-year high school student and former assistant of a detective named Siesta.
He made Siesta’s acquaintance three years ago, 10,000 meters above the ground in a hijacked plane. The two went on one death-defying adventure after another for three years that eventually ended with Siesta’s untimely death.
In the present day, Kimihiko tries his best to reintegrate himself back into normal life.
